Secret Santa 2015

I sent an email to Papa elf, I hope everything will get sorted out.

I got an Estes Big Bertha and an Estes Baby Bertha! Yea!!!! Thank You Secret Santa!!!!

So, after photographing the chillen's carnage that is Yule morning, I snuck a picture of my SS gift. But what to my bleary eyes appear but a Rabid Bovine Bomarc!!!

Opened up my gift to reveal an eggtimer kit! That's SS!

Secret Santa was fantastic. 3 BT 80s, Two NCs, Two 24" Nylon Parachutes and a crap ton of Nylon Tube shock chord. Big thanks!!! I'll have to report back when they turn into something flyable.

Oops! Fortunately, the padding still covered whatever is in the box, so it remains a surprise, and under the tree it goes!

So I "finished" opening this today... Only to find out that the gift was wrapped inside the package! Well, more packaging to unwrap, so it's all good.

Found a Fliskits Acme Spitfire inside... Very cool!

I received a 3D printed avionics bay from my Secret Santa... Thank you very much, this will either finish a current build, or go to the next... Merry Christmas!

A HUGE THANK YOU to my Secret Santa. The Madcow box was indeed a 4" rocket. A Madcow Tembo! Complete with parachute and nomex blanket. I may have to move it to the front of the build line. I love it. Thanks again Secret Santa! Merry Christmas.

[Sorry to just now be posting, but as you all know, Christmas time can be challenging.
A couple of weeks before Christmas I received a box from my Secret Santa and it went under the tree. The next week I was notified that I was the lucky winner of the "Papa Elf Special" and to expect a package. A couple of days before Christmas I received a box from FlisKits and I put it under the tree unopened.

On Christmas day I opened my gift from my Secret Santa. I could not believe how blessed I was to get an Estes altimeter, an Estes V-2, ann Estes Xarconian Cruiser, and an Estes PS II Ascender. Wow, it was a very generous gift and I was more than pleased and down right excited. Then I opened the box from FlisKits and inside was a Frick-N-Frack kit and a letter from Jim Flis congratulating me on winning the Papa Elf Secret Santa Special. I felt blessed with this bonus gift and the letter from Jim. The rest of my gifts included the ususal socks and chocolate goodies I love. I was quite content and a happy camper. On Saturday, the day after Christmas I sent a message to N3tjm our very own Papa Elf, and thanked him for organizing the TRF Secret Santa program and thanked him for my bonus gift from FlisKits. Later that day (Dec 26) our postal carrier came down the driveway and honked her horn and I went out and received another large box. I took the box inside and saw that "Papa Elf Special was written all over the box, I was surprised as I thought I had already received by gift (singular). I opened the box and was dumbfounded and blown away. Inside this box was the full bounty of the Secret Santa Papa Elf Special:

Estes Blenders, Estes Lynx, Estes Scorpion, Estes EPM-010, Estes Astroid Hunter, Estes Solar Warrior, Estes Conquest, Estes SLV, Estes Hi-Flier XL, Estes Mercury Redstone, Quest Big Dog, and a Pemberton Technologies Kraken.

I felt overwhelmed and immensely blessed. I had been satisfied with the one FlisKit, not knowing there was more to come. I want to thank the vendors who contributed products, and more importantly our very own Papa Elf, N3tjm. I thank him for organizing the TRF Secret Santa program and for spending countless hours keeping track of lists, gifts sent, gifts received, and getting all that information posted and updated. Thank you for soliciting rocketry vendors for contributions. Thank you to anyone who helped behind the scenes. Thank you for proving that we are a family of trustworthy and generous rocketry enthusiasts. I will try to post a pic of the generous bounty I received. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to everyone!

That's quite a haul. Whoever donated all of that did great.

The Box from the Vendors is always super.
I got it last year and too was overwhelmed at all the goodies.
At least you should stay busy building for awhile.
But Stan, you didn't guess at your SS???

Hey Woody, I just finished tearing off the shipping label from my Secret Santa box and was going to hunt the generous benefactor down. I decided to check the latest postings first, and there you were, I didn't even have to search. Thank you so much for the gifts, again, I see the TRF forum members as an extended family....so I can only give you this on-line hug. Folks like you are the best!

Your present was sent. It should of came in a normal size envelope.

I'll keep an eye out. I double checked all the mail over the past couple weeks, but didn't see anything unusual.
