Digital Camera Reccomendation

I'm looking for a digital camera to do a better job than my cell phone. I want to document my rocket builds (and other work). I also want to shoot outdoor pictures like at launches and other events. I don't really need video, but it would be nice.

Main requirements:
20 megapixel
MicroSD
uses "regular" batteries rather than a rechargable battery pack
threaded for tripod mount
around $200

None of these are "killer" requirements, just a wish list. If it has to use rechargable batteries, the batteries should be fairly inexpensive and easily available.

for $100 more you can get a good Nikon D7000 or a D7100 with 24 megapixel
On craigslist and eBay you can get them used for around 300 to 350
Both have the 2 slots for MicroSD than can used the second slot for back up or
1 for pics and the other for video
