One (1) of my SatV airframes is built with thrust-vectored bps.space motor mount.
The trouble with F10 AeroTech motor is that is sold exclu$$$ively through Apogee, and thus costs $28.08 + Hazmat. Borderline rip-off pricing.
G8 is pre-orderable from BMS for $22.49, and is way more interesting and longer burning, with near-linear ~8.x Newtons of thrust for 10+ seconds (after initial 10+ N burst). That's enough to support ~8/4.45 = ~1.8 lbs of weight. Net of extra thrust-vectoring hardware & electronics weight, my SatV porks up to 700g = ~1.5 lbs. Just about perfect match for ~300 ft of super slow-mo flight on a G8 (if you believe OR)!
F10 would actually lift the same 700g a bit higher off the pad, due to larger earlier burst of 20+ N thrust, then settle into the same 8-9 N steady-state thrust pattern for ~4 seconds. Shorter flight, more expensive. Less likely to melt/burn things.
In the works. Video will be shared when everything works, and when the weather finally cooperates here in NE.
