I found it as an image on Pinterest and could not find any text associated with it.I don't remember ever seeing that. Anyone knows what kind it is? I suspect it's a chick.
I've seen a few birds in western U.S. that were very blue, I don't know what they are called. They don't look like the BlueJays that we have here. I've not seen enough of them to get photographs.There just aren't that many birds that are blue: macaws, blue jays, some budgies, ... ?
I've had an unusual luecistic junco visiting my yard for the last few months.

Years ago, our local zoo was doing a raptor show like the one above and a wild hawk or eagle came through and picked the captive raptor out of the air. The keepers immediately segued into a teaching moment about the circle of life.
I had the opportunity to get one of these. Since I already have a dog, I thought 1 pet was enough. I don't regret the decision.I once wanted one of these but luckily grew out of it.
