Gundam! Everyone's favorite giant Japanese fighting robots!

LOL does not even explain it

I was cheering so hard the wife came by to watch

Well done man

YES! By far my favorite! I was riveted to the screen as I slurped my saki and ate my dried squid poofs!

Cool,

I had some more time with this one, the first two had to be done quickly or I might have lost the time slots for broadcast.

Even doing just two minutes a week is pretty time consuming, concept, modeling, animation, finding music and sound effects.

I am glad you liked it. Thank you for watching.

On that note, just how many hours do you have to put in for a two minute video? Do your models and back grounds start out as CAD wire models and then skin them after your animation is completed?

I use a program called Lightwave 3D. All 3D programs are similar to CAD, I build them in a similar way then texture them. After the models are done them I animate them. The interface looks like this.

So my next question is, is this program compatible with a 3D printer?

Just depends on the format required, there are many file format converters available.

That's pretty cool. I am trying to organize a trip for the local kids to the university. They have recently acquired a 3D printer. That ship from Alien would be an awesome subject to print out on the 3D printer.

Thanks for your time and answers!

Find out what format it uses, and I'll see if I can convert it and then I'll post it.
