This is a new independent rocket club AKA Team Ohio, AKA Tripoli Mid-Ohio called Ohio Aerospace Modeling Consortium. They had their first fall season launch this past weekend and I was happy to be a part of it. Some of these pics will be out of order, I was using 2 cameras and didn't rearrange the album. This is the club website https://www.ohioaerospace.net/

Recovering.

I had a good time and look forward to the next one. I didn't fly either of my Warlocks due to the breezy conditions and single deploy configurations. I will try again in northern Ohio this weekend at the Sky Busters launch.

Glad you could ID those Mr Fishhead, I forgot to post a link to the entire album https://picasaweb.google.com/106024938516969686208/OAMCRocketLaunch10Nov2012
I was going to post a link to the on board cameras that I used but the Ebay seller is sold out. They are the ones that look like lighters and there are other sellers that appear to offer the same unit, they are pretty easy to operate with only 1 button to use.

Surprised to see them, in a good way.
I walked around with my keychain cameras in my sweatshirt pocket all day. Completely forgot they were there.

Great photos Mark!! Thanks for coming down.

Also thanks to everyone who helped or participated in any way. We had many more participants than I expected. We weren't even sure if the corn would be off the field until Wednesday so we couldn't really advertise.

Last I heard there were 130 flights over the weekend and the winds caused several who were there to postpone until next time. Motors flown were every letter of the alphabet up to and including "N"

Our waiver is to 10,000' with call in windows to 18,000' MSL

We also baptized our new 32 pad launch system by Wilson FX, (thanks, Brad) It worked flawlessly and we have the capability to expand to 64 pads in the future. We thought long and hard before making this purchase. Nothing is more frustrating than to drive to a launch more than a few minutes away and wait around for the launch system to be fixed. After this weekend I am convinced the rewards far outweigh the costs. This is the same system they use at MidWest Power and the one that got LDRS out of trouble this year.

Check the website for upcoming launches. Hotels are close and overnight camping is permitted at the field.
