I decided to go with a Caddx 'Walnut' action camera for the onboard video. I poorly integrated it into a Mach1 Rocketry 65mm Avionics bay with 0.3mm to spare. :)

The Walnut has:
2.7k resolution @ 60fps. (4k@30fps)
128GB storage
On board audio
GyroFlow gyro data.
Wi-Fi
USB-C data + charging!
11.1volt 600mAH batteries
30min record time for 4k @ 30FPS.
PLUS it isn't $300 - $500 like a GoPro!

With the phone App, both the camera settings and record commands + live video feed can be accessed without needing to touch physical controls or do stupid QR code games like some other RunCam options I looked at.
AV bay is using an EggTimer Quasar + Caddx Walnut on a 65mm sled.

Looks good. Let us know how it flies. The cantilever lens looks like it might not like high Gee flights, but it may be ok. I have done some simple mods to Chinese action cams from Amazon, but i havent flown them yet. I like how close you were able to get the fisheye lens to the airframe.

This looks really interesting. How hard was it to get the case off ? Also, just to clarify, you can get it recording without needing to access any buttons on the camera ? I like to bury my cameras inside the rocket so I don't want to be required to access buttons. I like cameras that start recording as soon as power is applied. (The Runcam Split 3 Lite is an example) That way I can start recording as soon as I power the alt bay (or wherever I put the camera)
