After a bit of a hiatus in 2008 for a little thing called LDRS 27, AIRFest 15 marks the return of KLOUDBusters premiere regional launch to the Argonia, Kansas Rocket Pasture September 4-7, 2009.
This year our familiar Labor Day weekend event will offer 2 days commercial-only flying and 2 days TRA Research - offering all Tripoli members the flexibility to bring out their TRx projects on either Friday or Monday.
Discounted Flyer fees of just $35 for the entire 4 days are available if you pre-register. Your flyer registration includes the Saturday evening Burger Blast on-site event. The Pre-Registration deadline for AIRFest 15 is Thursday August 20, 2009.
Our waiver for the entire event will be 34,500' AGL. Projects expecting to exceed 23,000' AGL must obtain prior approval from the KLOUDBusters Board. High altitude submissions must be made 30 days prior to launch (August 4, 2009). A link to the form and other details are on the web-site.
Join us for our premiere launch event Labor Day weekend and enjoy the high waiver and wide-open recovery area offered in South Central Kansas. Past launches at Argonia have seen rockets of all shapes and sizes, up through and including 'Q' impulse projects. Many memorable launches such as Honest John, Aurora, Redstone (X 2), Delta III, the Cow, the Beast, Wildman, Jupiter-C and Pershing II have all taken to the Kansas skies. Will you be here to witness the next chapter in Argonia folklore?
Check out www.kloudbusters.org/airfest/ for all the details.
