I have 3 builds coming along. The Alcubierre upscale (thread in the scratch build forum) a 54mm scratch build with a 38 mm motor mount and my level 3 build (thread to come). And lots of other ideas floating around......

Work is going strong still; I'm fortunate to be at a comms oriented company where I think there is no chance we'll be told to cease operations, and I've got full remote capability. Very thankful for all that.

My daughter is back home after they shifted UCI to full online academics, so we have a full house again - enjoying getting some bonus time with the whole family.

Improvising a fitness plan now that they shut down the gyms, been hiking outdoors 4-5 miles a day. That's actually been pretty nice.

Not getting too much extra time for hobby projects, working on CNC milled parts like an MD retainer for a GoDevil 54. Finally got the Z limit switches on the machine and some TTS tool holders to get rid of having to touch off Z on every.single.operation. Also designing a 3d printed fixture for 2-sided solder paste application for building up my batch of Quantums.

I bought a Nintendo Switch Lite and now 80+ hours in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

I will probably be working from home for most of it, although attending work sometimes will be necessary.

Also planned, to avoid getting bored:
  • Bathroom renovation
  • Car improvements (roofrack, bash plates, maybe rockrails, UHF CB + antenna, antenna for rocket tracking, towbar, electric brake controller for towing)
  • Tidy/rearrange workshop and garage
  • Plan trip for when the lockdown is lifted
  • Clean up backyard and sideway
  • Do an online Japanese language course
  • Work on getting a bit more fit
  • Netflix
  • Listen to music
  • Pick up the flute again after a few years break
  • ...

and if I get really bored I might do some painting. I HATE painting...

Well, unless the company shuts the plants in Washington down, I’ll still be working.
So far we have 20 confirmed cases (as of 3/19/20) and about 1200 in isolation. Yet we still work on.....
IF they shut down, I will clean the garage, tile the back patio, pressure wash the back retaining wall. Play with the son, work on home school activities with the son, and work on rockets a few minutes per day.
Rockets are very much a back burner activity.

I'm also still working, and hopefully will continue.
But I could really use some time to replace the liner in my pool and replace some rotting deck boards.

The auto factory I work for has shut down for two weeks (for now). I will be working from home.

In the interim, I intend to get some machining done on some railroad projects, and work on our bathroom remodel when I'm not working. Possibly cleaning of the rocket shop.

I also took advantage of the weekend, as well as the work-from-home factor, to finally fabricate the table frame for our office that my wife has been after me about for a while. It's about 80% done now. Some cleanup work, weld the mounting brackets to fasten the tops to the frame, make sure there are no burrs anywhere, then hit it with a coat of satin black paint. Hope to bring it in and install it on Wednesday.

If all goes well, the garage will be empty after the table project so I can take advantage of the open space to do some glassing!

I'm flying 10-30 passengers at a time from place to place in 737s. Six feet apart, of course.

One of our former pilots who recently left for an airline has ferried a few smaller jets empty lately. He's worried about getting laid off soon.

My plan is to build at least one of the rocket kits I’ve purchased in the last month or so.

While the glue/epoxy dry/cure, I will continue playing Diablo III online and once again be the oldest player on the leader boards. If you play, I go by o1ddude4real on Battle.net

Take pride in "seniority" and leader boards. Show the kids how it's done!
Never got into Diablo III due to online only, loved the crap out of Diablo II.

Colorado Gov. Polis just Announced mandatory 50% reduction in workforce. Brings serious doubt to my job security. Sounds like time to build LDRS project!(provided LDRS is still on).

probably I do not know, Meh work on building some extra rockets that I have lying around, uhh clean my room and yeah that is it im pretty board.

Cook. Based on suspicion and then Chuck's post here: https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/covid-testing-and-outcomes.158413/page-3#post-1979253, I have begun home meal delivery service. Not perfect for sure (will likely disinfect boxes and wait a day before opening), but better to only go to the grocery once a month if I plan it right.

My wife and I did this for an extended time and experimented with a few services. Sunbasket was our strong preference (www.sunbasket.com) so I have set up with a plan with them and also Home Chef (www.homechef.com) which is a little cheaper with simpler meals.

How will you disinfect the boxes? I've been thinking about doing the same thing with my various deliveries. I was thinking of wiping them down with denatured alcohol.

easiest thing I can think of is open it with rubber/surgical gloves and discard both when done.

I have been spraying boxes with a Lysol-like disinfectant and letting them sit for an hour or two before opening. Now, the plastic inside the box is another thing altogether, so using nitrile gloves until I get the product out. But that is where it stops as I guess you can only reduce risk so much.

I am self - employed and work from home. I have LOTS of work so that is what I do during the day. Wayco is working on a couple of rockets. I have to admit that self-isolating is looking pretty much like life as normal for us. Except for rocket launches - we did manage to get to Holtville Havoc (Tripoli San Diego) at the beginning of March and I have yet to clean up my rockets. IF I run out of work I have a slew of projects I would like to get to (some of which I've tried to get to for YEARS). Wayne and I are both starting to get "rocket fever" and we may just take a bunch of low power out to the desert by ourselves and launch them for fun in a couple of weeks or so. Wouldn't be the first time...

It would be nice if we all had consistent remote work like this!

Sheer luck, Tim - sheer luck. I was going to be a brain surgeon (really!) and ended up doing historical title and environmental research (long story). People pay me to do puzzles all day.

I agree, it would be nice if we all had consistent remote work and I am grateful I do. But there are still days I realize that self employment is not for the faint of heart. First you got to get the work. Then DO the work. Then get PAID!

I'm lucky to work for a data/digital company servicing Insurance, Mortgage, and Financial sectors. So long as my internet service is up and running, working from home is trivial. :)

The plants up north have shut down, effective tomorrow for 14 days. My site announced that the number one concern was for our health and safety, however since we have no confirmed cases we would be conducting business as usual.
To this was also added that although the Gov's of both WA and OR stated to STAY HOME, we are exempt, so report to work, minus the office folks who can work from home, in their words to "help keep the virus from spreading."
So no shut down activities for me, at least until we get a confirmed case, but by then it will be too late.

I have a half built Punisher 3 in a moving box somewhere, need to dig that up and finish it up in the next couple weeks. :)

EDIT: Pic added...

I'm technically "essential" so I can go to church if I need to. My secretary and the custodian are now the only employees in the building. But, since I am now the pastor of a virtual church, I am busier than usual trying to post blogs and/or videos every couple of days instead of weekly. As of yesterday, I am now the one with a Zoom meeting Pro account so I will be playing around/experimenting with setting up virtual church social gatherings. We're also trying to coordinate a system where we have church folk check in on everyone periodically.

Telecommute. That's working from home :(

Means I can load up all my 3D print jobs without having to wait until I get home though hahaha.

Here's one of those time waster

Our services, including audience participation, singing, etc. are now 100% Zoom events.

Glad that you all can keep working, either from home or at work. Myself, I guess that I am NOT needed. I drive a truck and I haul bulk materials to plants that make food. Ever try to make Cheerios without oats!

Yesterday I was talking to the person I'm buying a home from in a week or so. He is a truck driver. Used to do on call deliveries to grocery retail. Said he made a killing over the last three weeks. Said he and his family live on two round trip runs a week, but he was doing 8 or 9 for three weeks in a row. Now though, has been reassigned to the supply chain (also grain). For him not as lucrative, but figures it will only be temporary and he will move back to the retail side.
