Yardwork. Dug up the corner of our backyard. Last summer, while we were in Red River, we almost lost a big bush (Tacoma Stans) due to a clogged drip system. I dug it up and found where the clog was, fixed it and covered it back up.

Then I went to the credit union and picked up some cash for next weeks trip to Texas. Visiting my Sister in Gun Barrel City, TX to watch the total eclipse of the sun.

Let me catch up. Yesterday I was locked out of the Forum. I was banned for using a VPN. I have to turn it off to participate.

Wednesday I did battle with the weeds. I tried Round Up a couple of weeks ago. It acted like fertilizer instead of killing the weeds. Yesterday I brought out the big guns. I used Ground Clear. I went through 5 gallons of spray and didn't get the whole yard. I got some more today. That stuff is expensive. $41 a container. Used one up already. I thought last years weeds were bad. This year they are much worse. It's not just me. It's the whole town. My basketball bets were doing great. Sunday my winning streak continued. I won 5 out of seven. Today not so good. Lost all four bets I made. I hope to do better tomorrow. Wednesday I had my teeth cleaned. I brought my last dentist. This dentist knew him. The subject of guns came up. He's coming by tomorrow to see what I have already built. Or I'll build him a custom one.

Last night I got the Dell 1320C color laser printer I have going, after about five years of not working. I clogged it up trying to print some decals :( . I thought it was the transfer belt was gummed up, but inspecting it it seemed normal. Thought about it a bit more and figured it might be the fuser. Cleaned some gunk out of that assembly and off the roller (almost invisible on the roller). Works now :) . Bought this back in around 2007 for $200 (a steal of a deal when I bought a Dell laptop).

Fixing that printer saves me spending $500+ on a new color laser.

Today I have been working towards putting the new fancy fingerprint, facial recognition, NFC, PIN, app operated lock on the front door. Step one was to machine up some plugs from some 70x35 timber on the lathe, then glued them in place with West Systems 105/206.

Tomorrow I sand them, then fit the striker plate to the frame and the mortise to the door.

Continuing a massive clear out stuff we don't need/want effort. Facebook marketplace is effective, but not fun.

Visited the cardiologist. Again. Shortness of breath lasted far too long this morning. BP systolic is very high so I'm now on hydralazine (along with the other three BP meds I already take ☹️). I see an echocardiogram and possibly a stress test in my future.
I suggest you go eat a salad, get well soon!

SWMBO and I went out for our 3rd wedding anniversary Wednesday. We came home not feeling very well. Yesterday, I called out from work because I wasn't feeling very well. This morning, we both took a home Covid test. Both of us tested positive. I'm not feeling absolutely terrible, but not feeling 100% fine, either. Hopefully, I'll be better by Tuesday morning.

I went to the casino and made some bets for my friend and I. Today my new Dentist came by. He liked what I already had built. He bought one for himself and one to give his brother for his birthday. He wanted some upgrades. Timney 3lb triggers, scopes and mounts and weapon lights. Bill came to $5000.

we drove about 15 miles up to a ham radio it was great repair technician and he replaced the volume control shaft and antenna connection on the Kenwood G-71 HT that were both broken off when I knocked it off the top of the speaker. And he also put a new battery in it

Changed the tail lights on my car after one burned out.

I watched a youtube video explaining how to dismantle the light assembly to change the bulbs, and long story short, I'm pretty sure there are parts in that car that do not quite match the originals as a result of being rear ended long ago. It was a bit of an adventure figuring out how to dismantle the lights and required two trips to the hardware store and feeling around in nooks until I finally felt a hidden bolt.

On the upside, I do now have two properly functioning tail lights.

Watched and listened to the rain. High was 46. When I went out to get the mail I saw that the snow level was down to about 5000'. And there was a lot of it. I told my wife to come and look. She agreed with me. Neither of us can remember that much snow at 5000'.
