started gluing up the first shock cord to the index cards / business cards cut out to fold and fit the inside of the body tubes.

My 38 mm Loc Terrier Booster had this gap by a fin :

So 2 days ago, I squeezed in a glob of Elmers wood filler and covered it with CA glue:

And 2 min ago I covered the result with Tamiya white putty:

Now the thing is ready for another coat of white primer along side a Fliskit Thinderd I’m also building.

It looks like you didn't paint the nosecone.:questions:When are you going to launch it?

Haven't painted the nc *yet*. That's just black primer. It may not be the final color.

I should fly it on Saturday. There are supposed to be significant winds, but I don't think tube finned rockets weathercock (much). A low flight to test it out, then maybe a higher one later. Always fly the field and conditions!

I just finished up two scratch-built 54mm Stealths, one for me and one for a buddy. Thanks to Art Applewhite for providing templates on his “free stuff” website. I built my first 54mm Stealth about a month ago and had a perfect maiden voyage on a J415. I then tried a motor that was too long and unstable, so that one was destroyed. I will limit my new Stealth to 16ish inch motors as Art instructed.
If you want to put a longer motor in a Stealth or saucer type rocket, you have to allow the motor to stick out the front.

I went down to the Cape to watch the Falcon 9 launch. The spot I was at was just outside the Space Force's base front gate. I was about 4 or 5 miles from the rocket. Artemis was visible on the pad. It dwarfs the Falcon 9. Unfortunately the launch was scrubbed. I'll go down again when the have a date and time. There was a missile on a stick across from the viewing area. Something I couldn't identify. The booster had two motors stacked, one on top of the other. The missile had two air breathing engines side by side. It was about 50' long. The following pictures are Artemis, the VAB and the missile. I shot them with my cell phone so the long range stuff is not good. The shot of the missile when it's the darkest. I lit the missile up with one of my good flashlights.20220916_193913[207].jpg20220916_193815[206].jpg20220916_193743[205].jpg20220916_194047[218].jpg20220916_194833[220].jpg20220916_194151[219].jpg20220916_194204[212].jpg

Loaded up the car with my LOC IV and my LOC Weasel and heading to CT for a CATO launch. The LOC IV will go up on its maiden flight on a G126-6. The Weasel on a F25-4. I'm also bringing the lower half of the 2.8X upscale Estes Bandit that Joshua Drummond and I built to show off
