I realize in this age of capitalism that advertisements probably keep this form going, but the ads are getting a little bit too much for me and no matter how many times you click on them, they always come back over and over and over. So my question is..... which advertising blocking programs actually work?... as I did a typical Google search and the one that seems to get the most attention is just called Ad blocker, but it has mixed reviews as a lot of them do, so is there a great one that you know that works? if so give me the name of it please.

Hmm, I don't get any ads on this forum.
I am using an Android phone, I also am a paid supporter.

I'll second uBlock Origin. Not only does it block ads, but you can also easily select elements to block from being displayed on a website (e.g. header graphics, menu bars, etc.)

I've been using Adblock+ for years. NO ads on TRF and many other sites. It even removes the 'sponsored' items from the news feed on sites like CNN and Facebook.
