Oops, double post apologies. Today is February 3rd. 2024. So, im busy with building today. Finally, I'll add more text with pictures soon as I get the dog outside and have a Coffee. I need one today, updates all day with text(LOL. This is the plan again, for over a month but life has had me very busy).

Another post and updates asap, today ill be working on it all. So it will jump around a bit but ill add text to explain it after I drill out the Noseone bulkheads.

I'm slowy getting to this, I'm also caring for someone so days are somewhat unpredictable. But she's better i juts needbti walk to the store to get some things. But I've taken a minute to fix the cutting jig I made to assist me. Along with this body tube ans bulkheads ill cut directly in half along with many others things I will post a little at a time today. But here's some if what I've done so far, and will continue with after a very short break its my "day off" or weekend to myself for the first time in about a year now.

I do apologize as I've been trying, or attempting my best to slow down and take my time. I haven't had much of that so I've been holding off and working on little things at a time, like this idea for the 78" main chute, it will be used in the SD L2 cert flight. More in about an hour, id rather add a few pictures like this then text to explain it over juts random pictures. So apologies, I'll be right back with more text/pictures in detail to help anyone out in the future or like said its for my own personal reference going forward. Thank you for all of you help ans suggestions I'm going to put them to use. For fun and educational purposes only.

Here's the can in the jig, I will also cut it dead in half then work as I go(I scored it). I'm kind "new" to the high power flying myself part, only or refreshing my memory. So thank you again, I'll be adding info and pictures daily now.

It was and still is a beautiful day in Pennsylvania, so I chose to get out and setup the chute too. It took me about 2 hours after running errands I do have someone I care for so days are uncertain but thats its predictability. So, I took it outside and hung it up, threw a basketball in it for weight, used to chairs to separate the individual shrouds lines and made sure they were all lined up on the 1/4" sized Quick Link to a Barrel Swivel and another Quick Link to have a larger area so if the lines have any stress, ever.

So its appropriately distributed under a faster load ans won't stress any or some lines that are setilnthe waynI like them. This took a while, so its a break time quick then meds. Its getting dark so I'm be inside the rest of today.

I was able after the parachute setup, to start the nosecone. I'm trying not to add more than 25 pics at a time then ill come back and add text later on tonight/2morrow. But from the house I came to the "shop", to hand cut a bulkhead. The upper or forward bulkhead from spare wood strong enough to handle this, especially glued and epoxy for ejection blasts.

Thats a shirt story, ill add more for these pictures explaing it all, but like said ill be going back and forth as I'm still figuring this out. But the basic idea is a 3/8" pc of all threadI need to cut next, that will be the anchor point for the first bulkhead. That will have a 3/8" nut of some sort, then 3 more will again "triangulate" around that lower or forward bulkhead to the "main" or main shock cord attachment point. Just one point in the nosecone as weigh is a concern. So the tail really needs to be close to done to get some weight balance correct to endure stability for all motors.

Here's some progress, I'll add more text/pics with the final idea and the start of the tail or fin can next. I'm not building it outside of the airframe either it needs to be very, very durable but also the ability to add a little weight when needed, if needed at all.

Michael B. 😃 🚀.

The post before was up to the lower or forward bulkhead, the aft or rear I just hand cut out, then use a portable band sander upside down to get it "circular", I'll go sand by hand now if it needs it. I'm also going to fir the extra stiffy in the nosecone with a weight depending yet more or less epoxy. I also need to cut the shoulder flush or "square", so that's all next.

The Nosecone shoulder cut down, and the extra stiffy I ordered for this measured and then cutout not quite yet. After that the tail section needs to have a rough mock up so I can get the weights from the tail and NC, to set my CG/CP permanently. But it will not need hardly any nosecone weight, that will be an option too. Ounces not pounds to "re-set the CG/CP. More pics/text after the walk back to the house. Here's where I left off above doing or making/cutting out the bulkheads. More to come...

Here's the rest from tonight's work with the bulkheads then cutting the 3/8" all thread down then that will go to probably three 1/4" diameter about 6/7 inches in length. I honestly haven't gotten an exact measurement on them on grabbed or they were given to me. But ill add more text 2morrow its feeding time, lol.

Have a good night all,

Michael B.

I've had, lol. Finally a steady hour or so to start organizing, and getting these ideas out of my head. Then down, "on to paper so to speak".

With that being said if you're reading I'll be explaining in great detail. Or just pictures, certain people like myself can learn that way a little better then all theory. I like both, to learn.

SO, if your ever stumped. This is my thread to say, "hey it works well, great job!", or, "No, toss those altimeters for your FOURTH L2 attempt, you're a member here and probably reading this now, or maybe not". That not my immediate concern now.

But all of my builds from several houses(From breaking ground, to putting 5,000 sq feet then, of shingles on a complex roof design. I really drew in class. From 6am to about 10am(it was Ma1998?. This work method has improved a bit..), I was 15 years old then, when my father who literally taught me by telling me "to just watch Mikey ill be done in a few minutes, haha". God Bless him he did try, but went his own way. I've done a few things in my life, with my father testing me first, then buying me exactly what was needed. Once. Or allowing me to earn anything from a 1930 Ford Model A 5 window coupe. That I(with my parents at the time) rode in our 1988 Chevy ASTRO Van in 1990(4.3/V6 with a 5 speed auto, column shifter)to just below Tulsa, OK. With my mother Kerry(she's a woman, trust me. She's been mistaken because of the odd name of Carrie, not Kerry). Her and my Father, and I(I'm also the 2nd, II.) All of us with me holding the Atlas. Either way we all drove down to really get her a 1929 Ford Tutor(Not Tudor or "Two-Door), couple from Ed Hessom(he was in
His 90s then, this was Spring 1993). During this trip, I saw a 1930* Ford 5 window that had an old sign that said "Michaels", delivery or something I swear from the 40's or 50's America).

My dad heard me snicker "that could be fast",(I kind you not. He walked back to the Van, grabbed 2 more grand in spare travel cash), and bought me that 1930 Ford Model A. Then after 2 days of looking. "We" loaded to cars to a one car trailer. Hers had a full new frame and wheels(the '29 Tutor)and "mine". With my mothers too was loaded on this trailer, but appropriately to drive from OK to PA. Thing was we had a one car trailer, but used it for 2 smaller bodies. These cars on that trailer were exactly 8 feet wide, we measure it all..

It was a wild ride home including waking up at 3am sleeping with my dad and I sleeping. Mom driving while the rear right trailer tire blew and my other who's also pretty wild. Woke us up, told us exactly what was happening. My dad got up while I did the same grabbing*, then the steering wheel. She just left of the accelerator or gas pedal, and just drive thru it coasting to a stop in St. Louis? So irs been an odd 41 years now. Yeah that's alot of a backstory I'm done sharing all of it.

I am fully disabled and I fly for fun, full time. Many things have changed, my Mother was in bad health recently, BAD. But she's finally doing well So I've been very preoccupied but found a schedule to make things work again..Apologies its been stressful but this helps me.

So, this morning at 6am. I got to clean and organize. I was recently hospitalized again so it was slowed down, the progress on the build. It was all good(but a painful 15 days naturally doing this..) where I demanded that they admit me at the local hospital to "observe me" naturally. I stayed as long as they would let me, lol. Its a funny story it really is, but some other time I want this done, and testing will start, it had to ensure a safe bird, or model rocket.

The date of the "Start" of the build thread was just me after a day of not feeling so hot opened the box around midnight, lol. To do a "Unboxing" video. Well I tried but could hardly stand up, from pain. It was from being active for a year very heavily, getting back into low and high power rocketry again.

My usual build threads(going back to the main topic). Are always step by step, and very detailed "build threads". I love that. Because I always loved educational things, learning something or anything you can new. To finding out how to do something, what not maybe to do, just advice on my builds. I may even need to change a few things that is what I'm checking now though. Even though I'm getting used to using an Android only most days, but I love it too. Thats me.

I have to check on some things and take my Dog Sydney, out. So, here's some more progress where I left off last night from this morning. I wanted to see how much text too, and how many photos I could type/say or download in one post. Before the forum says "stop", Im going to be a supporter too. As soon as more funds get here for this, what really is a budget build. I've tested all of this out now its time to see how it works. I'm very anxious to fly it. I'm a good way as this was my goal in 2012/2013. To build and fly HP rockets...😆 🚀.

I have that figured out too, maybe. Here's what I've worked today so far. I did a little to the nosecone(thats not even close to done. I'm just starting it now, or continuing it today). I'll also post measurements too as well, a full part(s) list(At the end after the L2 attempt). But also some OpenRocket data, and real life flights. As always some tests firsts, always.

I setup the chute yesterday as I've been wanting too for a month, but it takes time. Outside yesterday, t was 38° F. With 20 mph wind at times like usual, with all that weather it was a perfect "practice day", too. I was working on getting the the shroud lines setup ans even on two quicklinks and swivels, but with a basketball for weight in the 78" main, setup on the ground or tree limb(clothes line cable). Plus I tested out some new or older folding techniques so the chute can deploy in about 25 feet maybe less I can run that fast with this huge as...larger main, 😆 🤣 🚀.

Here's progress from this A.M. More to come all day, text and 25 pics a post tops(but not every time I was to set my goals/intentions first as well, like always so people understand this is basically my L3 practice flyer. Thanks to all(ALL) for having some patience, my life is very unpredictable on a daily basis, It also will be, but I have today to get this well into "Dry Time". But that just gluing or epoxy days.

So from 6am, to now I got a little bit done, but much more to do. I want to be sure $1000 total of bird will be in my sight 100% of the time. All while packed in the 2008 Accord I drive now, or 2,000 feet in the air. For an April 2024 NAR L2 attempt, at URRG in New York. I want to see how it goes, to check myself for mistakes with this L2 attempt. The build really started on 01/25/2024. Its now one, or a thread that will be updated at least once daily, or not. So for those times, I'll l update then asap. Or give a heads up for those following this crazy L2 build for a cert attempt. I need to study too, I have been. Now, "Project Overkill" now I'll call it is going up, soon.

Its a custom kit from LOC Precision, who are all really awesome. To the point of sending me the correct CRs, after checking parts physically/manually I was sent the wrong size its all good I'm using them as well other places. Thank you too(LOC-Precision)for not wasting paper! I still haven't looked at any of their instructions at all, but may need too, 😆. This build is for my entertainment only, and to share any success, or failure. Or successes and failures, all all of the above will be included. So finally, a big Thank-You to "Mike T.", and the others @ LOC-Precision for this amazing kit. I mean it.

As always. I will come back, and fix grammar/spelling later on. "Sosbsbsu", so if you see that, please kindly read over it, its this autocorrect on my cell phone its nutty. Or give me a minute(thats a hour here..), and I'll correct it soon.

Thank you,

Ok, part 2 from this "A.M". About 6am to now 9:30-ish. But after fixing, or untangling the dual lower or "main" shcok cord(I set it up, or this), it only took a few mins(But that was after eating some food, while trying still to find! Or just found a new light bulb, LOL).Stole one of my smaller hand made chute protectors. I may need a bigger one for the main, or this 78", I've only used up to 48" but this is doable for sure it just took me a little time with the perfect model rocket kit in front of me, finally! I really, have maybe 3 total chute protectors. In various sizes, and I personally had make them so a new one is 15 mins away, I have a sewing machine now finally, again Free. By donation to me, that was cool again. Thanks Chris, lol. I hope you found this link I set you. Sorry forum a personal friend next door who dying to fly again but hasn't since the Boy Scouts. He's gonna have fun if he's reading this. I spread the word again. Sweet, now back to reality and this build just a quick shout out to a guy like me but he's my current closest neighbor. So hey Chris S! Ok, apologies forum members, back to reality.

I grabbed it off my poor Estes "Lawn Dart King", 24mm flyer. Its setup like recovery wise. Sort of like a high power rocket is, because why not? Including an intentionally short, "Overkill, 😆. Kevlar shock cord I bought off Amazon.com, most of my things are from there. Lower prices but free shipping gloves orders $35 or so and above. Idk they change it constantly, its a Prime thing.

But to my Big Daddy, or this OG one. I have three. I then also videoed the day it flew, testing out my new "Jollylogic Parachute Release". Right over at the Milton High School, to test out my skills first with it. On a safer, smaller field that's hard to fly. Very. I chose it intentionally. The nosecone will actually "lead" the burrito/chute release almost right in any direction I want it to land. I have in depth threads still going as well with the Nomex fabric made chute protectors, and this Big Daddy landing 50 feet from me as that day every flight before it went up and to the right or behind me on a D12-3, with the release set at 100 feet. I've also set it at 1000 ft, the failsafe works well. I trust this device(JLCR), for my L2, lol.

Or this attempt as well. So these are all leading to one thing. Good things come in 3's(Nah I'm not superstitious but I'm very "grounded" so its a form of expression, like "Knock on Wood", its been an interesting 41 years, so its time to share what this, ans many other hobbies have given me since 1983.

BUT, let's get this L2 attempt in first. I am planning for URRGs first launch day to fly it, which should be Mid April 2024, or May 2024, or LDRS42 @ URRG. So, when it goes on the pad and hopefully upward for about 3 to 4 seconds I'll be very happy. The clubtiden is what worries me, you never know what these motors will do so thats entertainment itself, but bad sometimes too.. Im doing my best to avoid any things but I can't rally stop anything. Preparation is the key, with time and research too along the way. Or just fly it. In any/many conditions really I'm usually very confident of myself/abilities. I've also learned many more things, and still am after 34 years of this "madness", so a short break now then back to work. 😆 🤣 🚀..From my Big Daddy Chute protector swap to break time here's the pics, or the rest from this morning..

Thank you, All.

Michael B.

Part 2 from today, continuing with the nosecone and "drouge" work. This all for my own personal reference, again. Plus educational purposes, if anyone posted I'll rszod to that also advice or suggestion, and/or any questions. I'm very good at "field repairs too, so this is from fun. It is, lol.

More nosecone week below from where I left off. Enjoy, more later on. Well soon, probably keep it to 100 pics but 4 times a day max, or with adhesives often and randomly but appropriately I'll post.

More from this "A.M", no its time to brake, and take a break. Ill be back... 😆 🤣 🚀.

After I wanted to, and did start around 6am, it was so nice today so I chose to work outside until daylight was completely gone.

I've been out all day, until about 18:00 or around 6:00 pm Eastern Standard time, hers in Pennsylvania. I even took a bike ride today so, trim a tree, the come in and get all the cutting or mest work done to this L2 before a needed shower. I spent half the day looking for a light bulb that was bright, lol. I finally got one so when I got that in, I started with the nosecone I want to be about as heavy, as the tail/aft or motor section will be.

I have to wait, to see how much weight I'll add or habe to take away to keep my CG ans CO good. But its a stable flyer. My idea is not to make it heavy on purpose to keep it low, though that it what I want. But I'm slowly getting there but it's going smoothly, I just need to drill some more holes in the upper ans lowe nosccone bulkheads, for shock cord attachment reasons, and maybe to add a 2nd, or third tracker and altimeter may be what I want to do some day, to test some things but this may fly apart but its highly unlikely. I mean it.

I found some more shock cord, I have about 1000 feet. So, thats in the pictures too as a I had a busy day. I'm also just thinking for a camera, ill put this old cell phone in the rocket itself. The heck with it, lol. I used that wooden jig to cut or square up this nosecone shoulder but it's just a little off. I want two bulkheads, for weight and to make sure it doesn't pull all out, it won't after I sand the inside and add an appropriate amount of TotalBoats slow curing epoxy I bought, or maybe BSI 30 minute epoxy I know that will gold I haven't used this epoxy yet on any rockets.

The extra stiffy I bought is cut, I was gonna use the jig, the wooden on on the pictures but knew I need more taken out for it to fit in. But, it's a just a little long, but im going by this so ill reset the lower or forward bulked to a smaller diameter. After I sand down the molding or "blow hole", from manufacturement process or whatever I have no clue I don't really make these Polyethylene nosecones but love to work with them. The inside of the nosecone just needs just me to sand it. I'll sand down the inside of the shoulder, nosecone that is, and then mark and cut the "Stiffy", I bought for this build as all the other ones I've been doing. It's to add weight, but make it safe to fly as well. It will fly nice, with the correct J, or more motor.

Now I need to go shower quick, before I have a few personal things to do, then I can work on this, ill ads more text later. I got the fins out as well, the fin jig will be easy and tonight or tomorrow at some point I have a drs appt @ 11am. I'm picking away at it, more soon. I have fin rounding tool, and engine block honer I use to sand the inside of these NCs, I found the homemade fin rounding or airfoilong too ill use one pc of sand paper to uniformly make the all the same. I'm not going to make any canted fins, it will fly stable enough it doest need that, next a nice flat board, large enough to sand this stuff s little more to make them how I want or would like them. Plus more some more sandpaper for that, now going too, or need to run out to the garage and get that before a shower and laundry. Then back to this hobby.

Part 2 to post #103, I had a better idea to cut the stiffy lengthwise. So, this Parachute will get in half, exactly. But carefully theres a metal 1/4-20 SAE hex nut in ther from using a piece of probably 8" long 1/4" diameter, with a thread count of 20 per inch, which is coarse thread but ill have 2 from the forward going up, but at this nosecone angle, meaning NC tio down its the bottom or first one. Pics of that soon, here's the rest to go with post #103.

It's been very nice here in Pennsylvania, I had a doctors appt, 11am I may have said that. But after spent the day cleaning up from yesterday.

But before the appointment today, with this body tube with bulkheads thats not finished quite yet. This will be for the 78" main, to deploy in about 20 feet, slowly ot very not to almost not at all like a drouge you can use a chute release to control the main and open then, low to avoid tree landings, but it will bad a chute too. The Parachute holder or "Can", sounds better.

Either way pictures now, about 30 from today. So not too many but much text to explain im taking apart the Av Bay apart for final glues/epoxies, then the motor tube, then "Parachute Can"..

Text 2 morrow parts maybe.

Busy day, im currently. Deleting every post off Facebook. I can't deal with those people, lol.

I filed the Patent, for this "Chute Can", im not losing millions again. Damn serious. To someone else taking my "ideas", that were to help me when I was injured in 2012.

I'm gonna just delete all social media. I'm done with using it to share. Every day I have to over'explain myself, just to help people that insult me. That's honesty why this post started with a rant, it was me venting from low power to L3 IDIOTS on Facebook. I may not even update it now. This take too much time out of ny day which I have so I'm gonna go fly, now. I'll make that choice today to keep posting. Or not. I really don't care about anyone right now over then my own personal health. Physical, and now still sane as always. I'm not it. It is a "Plague"...😆 🤣 😂...🎸 🚀...✌..

Until I get over wabrinf to walk down the street and punch someone again that I insulted me in Facebook. I'm gonna go finally wheat cold breakfast and finish, this rocket and do more testing today. I may post for LDRS if I have time.

See you to talk in person, done with the internet in many ways. Take care.

Michael B. 🚀.

Been following your build thread. I can see your point where it takes a lot out of your day to take as many pictures as you have been. Take less pictures, don't need so many to follow your thread. No one here responding to your thread has been out of line. Looking forward to the completion of your rocket.:clapping:

I get that, I really do post these for me own reference as I am disabled.

But up at 5am to takes pain meds for "pain management", naturally. So I spend a lot of time laying in bed. I learned over 41 years now, especially since the 18th of April, in the year 2012. Life still wasn't fair to many of us. From anywhere or any color I don't care. I want my L3. Earned safely.

I'll build and fly no matter what, it's therapeutic to me it has been since 1990. My father, who was an very seasoned too in Model Rocketry about 32 then in 1990.

I needed a vent, Rocketry was it again. So, I'm really done with Facebook. That's it, here won't change. I need too se of people are interested. If not ill just post enough pictures and its easier for "Myself", to help understand me. Some, who are not at my "Level", just said some odd things. I can see the point though. I'm really having a hard time daily but thats it unpredictability. So I've learned to Face life, wanting to win, building anything especially now with my "skills", or ideas learned and learning still at 41. To have fun and maybe now just it easier and do something I can sustain.

I need to run to the store, I'm not bitter, or upset, or angry. I just like to share, I seem to be naturally gifted at problem solving. So im gonna go do more. I have a habit with Photography too. But like said to will show you how to do to that way.

Updates soon, Its my goal to add a few times or maybe once a day. To keep motivated, so updates soon. I have some paperwork to fill out.

Michael B. Thank you...

I took today, and did pretty much nothing but what I've need to do, but relax while doing it all. It went good, but it's a bunch of random things like the first motorcycle ride the other day for the first time too, so I'm definitely good to go, low and slow in many ways.

I have been having a very hard time, finding tools that work, lol! But today organized this room and the work shop. Now after relaxing outside again about all day. I finally took the Av Bay for this L2, back apart just the hardware to start the inside gluing, on the nosecone side fillets. With TiteBond II. I love it.

That's about it, I have more I'm doing but still working on it. I usually start a thread when I can add a few pictures, but usually once a day. So here's the Av Bay, and this device that holds the Parachute is working well. More pics for sure 2morrow. Good night all,

Michael B.

what motorcycle?
2, lol. This time.

I'm currently staying, or living with my Mother and Her Boyfriend, its all by my choice. But since moving here, temporarily. Last February.

Have been building model rockets again.

Her, my mother's Boyfriend. Has 2, one he bought brand new in 1978, but has a small Carburetor leak from old age. Shutting it "off", the fuel or gas tank. Stops the leak as your may know, they are "gravity", fed.

He also, his name is "Thomas Tracey "F.(Ill leave his last name, "Anonymous". As many see this site. He again, now inherited an older, but fixed somewhat an now running 1990, not new. But one of Thomas's, family member left him to use after they pass.

I'm really staying here to help my mother 24/7/365, which her current medical issues which was a brain tumor(its under control...❤...), she fell too and now cannot work as she has a concussion from falling out of bed or down the stairs because this house is a 2 story 100 year old, "dwelling", along with myself.

Have been living to assist them in there "Golden Years". I doubt, if you're reading hae to type much more as I'm getting ready for a not busy day for the first time in almost a year while being hospitalized 3 times myself. One being this year, on January 4th. Going into cardiac arrest from just a short walk, but really a heart attack had to take a shirt break to rest.

I'm fine, really. LoL, I was having a lot of anxiety. I write/type/talk alot. As you've seen when I'm stressed Ill type, and type, and type, and type. Its me seeing something that I know isn't safe. As you've read and saw through pictures(This thread has a few goals I'd like to "Attempt", as well.

I'll post a picture, of the 2 bikes. The Kawasaki, and Harley Davidson in a few hours. Its very dark yet, but almost has been 50 degrees and I want to test all these ideas to back them up with a real world experience, as always.

I have a real company who helps amateur investors, like myself. Sending me emails after I submitted a design, to just keep this idea, mine to use and distribute when appropriately. Will be working on this morning again, then take a 8am or so Coffee break needs to check on the trickle chargers I setup.

Busy day, lol. As always but im going to have few days of rest to check out these parts and build. Todays goals from a month ago, are:

1. To rest, but thats normal so while I'm sitting here will work from bed.

2. The Av Bay, needs to be finished. I've done the forward or the Main Chute area. Much to do...

So, I've been trying to figure out, why this perfectly good but 6 year old Android isn't working. I've been using the wifi, when I'm at home. Or my temporary housing situation.

It drops calls, won't post after I type very long, detailed responses, lol. With about 200 "How To", pictures a day. So apologies for the long, weird random posts.

I love to do builds, but also strapped for cash. I'm fine, I've lived like this since 2012. Either way, I really depend on things working, or not exactly like they should or didn't.

Yesterday, out in the garage, as I'll type out what I'm doing then add text/info to help me reference these things even 12 years later. It why I love the Forums.

When I was i injured in 2012, at UPS I knew that day my job was done for. I refused to quit, but eventually an agreement was made for me to "Resign", with a years salary to "Help" myself gain employment. Its a very long. Somewhat confusing, but 100% true through life experiences.

So, outside. Not in this room. My phone, started to lose signal. The radius for this wifi network so right at certain points(These are my days), but not today....

*Its 07:19 now 2/8/24: I"
m Doing this to make sure my post, posts. I've been. Adding text, and pictures. Like I'll do now.

Yesterday, like usual I'll just stop to clean and organize. It's extremely difficult, when things are working like they are supposed too.

This will post, but I'm constantly, daily. Losing connection, so I need to clean, and organize. I take a lot of pictures, and text to help out. I've helped, and ran many smaller, to larger Businesses. Since I was about 15 as I was saving and working to earn a college degree. That didn't work out, but my daily chores/choices im perfectly fine with.

Before I type anymore, then leave the room to DL pictures like I'm used to doing. This works for me to share, but my Intentions were to start this L2 thread, then slowy add to it. Thats enough of this type of explanation.

I've been working on this daily, I ordered my IRS checks got there. Really would have preferred to start after everything is done. Then explain my thinking, and then post pictures. Now its 07:30, ill add 25 pics as its the max limit as well as 8,000 characters.

I don't need that, but for my own personal records. Ill start with saying, Yesterday I was up early as normal. Cleaning while adding text slowy, about this build.

Here's 25 pictures, as I like to do 2 or 3
times like clockwork, and a daily/weekly
update of how it helps me starting
yesterday, 2/7/2024 about 6am.
Today, I'm building. Here's 25
pictures, starting with some new components, with existing for
sale, parts. I am still-
"testing" these. All, for
my own satisfaction.
In regards, to a
stable, but as
always. A
Safe, fun
flight! 🚀.

Hopefully for the SD cedt flight after a L1 test flight. I'm juts gonna send it, and see what she does. Its built, to fail. Or, be a rocket. I'll have time for a full paint/prep too for this one. My L1 Cert in 11/4/23, told me how to do this L1 build by going through a direct failure. I was honesty, not going to accept it, but after listening to the Certification Team that day, I did earn it. Here's my current progress as I'm free to work all day it will be specific pictures in order. As again, it helps me.

The nosecone work/ideas(some more too ill do that in the next post soon or sometime today). But for my, L2 build/attempt,

Michael B...🚀.

I started looking at L2 certification flight potential builds a few months ago. Two days after a successful L1 cert at URRG in NY on 11/04/23, I was doing 2 things. Downloading the NAR L2 Certification Study Guide, and looking for a rocket that would be good for me. I really loved this 5.5" Magnum(91.5") the best with the single 75mm Motor tube. It was hard to pick the 80" Magnum with now the 54mm central, and 6-29mm outers over this. I had a size and weight in mind after going a few times to get a feel for what may be a better L2 bird, with that being said. I haven't made any permanent marks yet, but messed around to get some ideas.

I decided to stick with this Magnum, it comes wirh a 78"/18" Main/Drouge chutes. I have pretty good idea of what direction I want to go(Pun Intended). But with that, have also had some pretty serious related medical issues, again. But some things, plus some minor things that are being taken care of so I can get back on schedule have been helpful here. Theres a method to my Madness, its been a madhouse. That, had to stop for me be able to focus.

Wanting to rest, or slow down a little and just build as its winter. I ordered this a few weeks ago, along with some extra parts too. There was an honest mistake I realized just today, and I received the wrong sized centering rings. So its probably best to wait for the correct ones to get here. I ran it by someone first, he agreed as well to contact them. I did today, and they sent me the right ones without question. Thanks again LOC Precision!

This arrived last Wednesday, 1/2/24 a little after noon. I looked over the box but didn't open it until later that night. Well about midnight to double check for any damage, bur there wasn't any damage to it. I've been also waiting on a few more parts to get here as well. I wanted to start marking it at least, im going to attempt to get a little done everyday. So, the plan is to start it now, and chip away at it a little bit at a time. I'll add some more text and pictures as the parts arrive here shortly, but next week.

Last night I started with the glassine layer that was taken off to help with bonding properties, and I started mocking/marking some things up. I finally am opening bags now to check out the other parts but all appear to be correct. But, I'll probably switch to something else for a bit, until the new ones arrive with some more goodies next week. I really enjoy doing build threads, its fun for me.

Not to mention with some physical limitations, building is a perfect mix I need some of right now. So, I will post updates, while continue to work steadily for an April, or possible May/June NAR L2 Certification Attempt date. I'd prefer as early as possible but we'll see how it plays out, and adapt. I'll add more but here's a few pictures for now. Thanks all.

Michael B.

Yes, that's my hopes it all about Education through fundamentals, with safety first as many taught me, but naturally have more abilities in certain, many areas. But I'm also using Facebook too just having fun. But now weeding out the 'Canted fins", as you've personally seen. As your on the forum!!

I'll chat with you privately about many things, im walking/working now. Normally daily I get some sort of exercise around this town. It's all new to me, and disabled it's easy. But like most things I've been having a tougher go again adjusting to a new house its also complicated... LoL..

Made a railing too, I have access to my Moms boyfriends shop. He even built my new shop at my house over in Bloomsburg. Im still waiting to move, but soon..This, its gonna be fun. Or funny, lol. Ill post updates, Orestes..

I was about to order a new power supply, an independent Android emergency/power source. But this camera needs constant power source, "testing". This camera was under $10 from Coles when you sign up for the "Friends and Family free membership. I think? LoL..

Now, I have a 1080p(Yeah you can change this from 720P, to that in the Menu. But a DashCam that only needs 5v., and 300MA to record. These 9 volt, 1300 MAh will power this constantly, in 1. Or 3 and 5 min preset sections.

Yes, these 9v USB rechargeable batteries saved me 25 bux but using in of these Li-ion Batteries, will video this flight from the Av Bay, and another other place these Cameras what to go..

Michael B. More up with the Missileworks Altimeters. Today after a short break. Dual Deployment is today too after this nosecone.
