They're really just at or below ground level, so I'm sure there will be some aroma to it. We'd hate to disappoint you!No decayed onion smell? That's part of the ambiance of Torrey Farm!
I would expect that the field will be operating until about 5PM. There may be people about for a while after that, however many of us will be back the campground to clean up and eat before long.Anyone know how late on Thursday we can get a spot and put up canopy?
I believe it's required to be either a Tripoli or NAR member to fly at LDRS.Do you need to be a NAR member to launch at LDRS? I have another adult coming and will bring his G motor rocket?
Thanks. Likely too late to get him signed up, I'll fly it...I believe it's required to be either a Tripoli or NAR member to fly at LDRS.
NAR signup is almost instant. Getting the card takes a while (I won’t have mine in time for LDRS) but the have an online verification that I assume will be good enough to show at the launch (it had better be good enough).Thanks. Likely too late to get him signed up, I'll fly it...
I'd suggest a printout or a copy of the NAR page showing registration. Mobile phone service can be dicey at the farm, so don't expect internet to lookup the registration. Actually I shouldn’t say “instant”.., you get your number the following day, so you have to sign up at least one day before you need your number.
and I'm sure there is a shovel around..They're really just at or below ground level, so I'm sure there will be some aroma to it. We'd hate to disappoint you!
Ha,yeah, I'll likely get an extra strip at registration..

Teddy, I am curious as to how the tickets / prizes will be pulled over the 4 days..Ha,
Ya tink Paul, lol..
Teddy
Paul,Teddy, I am curious as to how the tickets / prizes will be pulled over the 4 days..
- Do we stuff the boxes on day one, then wait patiently for our number to be call over the 4 days?
- Are only "some" prizes put out per day? So each day is a specific set of prizes?
I wonder how many 'strips' will be put into one particular box?!
Teddy, I'm familiar with how URRF runs, and am assuming the same rules / methods apply.Paul,
There's a separate jug for you to put raffle tickets in for each raffle donor..
LOC Precision, Rocketarium, Eggtimer, everyone has a jug..
You've seen the list of prizes, you put your tickets in whichever jug you like..
The LCO will call winning ticket #'s as they're pulled..
Teddy
I'm not certain I understand your question Paul..Teddy, I'm familiar with how URRF runs, and am assuming the same rules / methods apply.
Just wondering out loud for other who also may be wondering.. If they come for a day or two: do they miss out when their ticket is pulled on the day(s) they aren't there?
Is it a daily thing? Or you stuff a box / jug, and hope your ticket is pulled the day you are there?
Will we ever be able to post the photos of the "shenanigans" at Country Charm?!?
I know "what happens at country charms stays at country charm" but some of the nightly activities need to shared, if only to amuse and abuse those who missed out..
