Hey folks,

Just received my latest goody box from LOC. In it I had ordered a 3" Baffle. This is my 3rd LOC baffle I think.
The previous ones came with inner tubes about an inch shorter than the coupler. This one came with 2" tubes.
I thought the idea was to force the ejection gases to reverse direction a couple times to drop out the sparks.

Is this a new design with testing that proves we don't need those longer tubes?

You might want to give Jason a call to discuss. When I build baffles I make sure that the inner tubes are just long enough that they don't meet in the middle. Basically eliminating any chance of hot partials having a straight shot to the recovery gear.

This is a short 2 inch baffle that I made for a 3 inch rocket. The inner tubes are 1.25 long so they overlap by .25 inches.
