It's not a reduction in suppliers - Curtis already wasn't delivering to rocketry customers. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out, but one supplier of all the fiberglass tube could cause issues of its own.
Precisely. It's not a reduction in suppliers - Curtis already wasn't delivering to rocketry customers.
You are aware that a Smoke NC is not the same as a conical? The exception is a Nike-Nike Smoke....that one is conical.I for one am extremely excited to see conical nose cones available from wildman. I'll be ready for a 5.5" smoke kit.
orders@compositewarehouse.comDid anyone catch the CW email address for those who have outstanding paid orders?

How would that work without binding on the mandrel? Was it purely conical?CW did have a 5.5 FW Smoke NC....so maybe we are in luck.

Not a two piece, one solid pure filament wound part. I had one in my hands and sold it a couple years back.
Filament or molded?I just got a 4" one from Ken last week. It is a one piece with the flange at the rear of the NC.
That is neat. Can you post some pics?Filament
Here is the 5.5" one I had and sold. It was a really nice piece.

Yep, and coupler that came with the cone had a Dynacom quality fit which was nice to see. In hindsight, I should have kept the cone, but I didn't need it for the project in question.Straight taper inside, with outer surface change made by the winding thickness?
Okay I have one buried in a box. The tip looked molded but I need to get it out. Very cool!Yep, and coupler that came with the cone had a Dynacom quality fit which was nice to see. In hindsight, I should have kept the cone, but I didn't need it for the project in question.
