We bought a couple of rolls of net tubing from Uline:
https://www.uline.com/Product/Detai...S-6580R+Protective+Netting+-+1-2"+x+164',+Red
2 inch does 29's, 38's and 54's, 4" does 75's and short 98's. Comes in 164 ft. rolls, so you won't run out unless you collect every casing known to man, like Sharon does:

Sorry, that picture is a couple of years old, and we had just started doing EX motors with snap ring cases:

We don't have room to lay out our current selection. Prepping rockets for Airfest, and that area is full of rockets:

I think we have a winner!

Can’t see what cases they are when they’re in those protective sleeves. May as well put them all in a bag and say “here they are.” Someone in the yard sale was saying it’d be nice to see what some of those Dr. Rocket limited run cases looked like, that’s why I went looking for that old thread. I know it’s a pain taking them out of the sleeves, but that’s what I’m going to do. Will post pictures when I finish taking them.

I’ll start (again) with a teaser of just the pics currently on my phone. Only have this one in this series.

And I have two versions of this style. The 29/360 pictured and a 98/15360 motor with extended forward closure for long burns. 98/10240 for scale :dontknow:

They don't make bags that big. I think I have a couple of the "Desert fire" 38mm casings, but I would have to dig through this pile to find them.

I really can't comment about our collection without sounding like I'm bragging, but we have added substantially to the snap ring casings since that picture in 2018...
I would love to see jimzcatz's collection, if he post's up all his casings, I might too.

Mentioning those Desert Fire casings has me drooling. I posted a want for them in yard sale, a couple people even said they had some, but they never PM’d me, so I have to conclude they don’t want to part with them (understandable).

I cant believe that I didn't post this first go round. I have 3 rifle cases full. Plus I have every size 75mm snap ring case and a 98 4G.

Here’s my pile of cases: it includes some Millennium and some NARAM 42 commemorative cases.

Nice, it’s the same color pattern as my 38mm NARAM 42 cases from 2001; though, they’re manufactured in 2000.

Found these pics too…

Some of those Millennium cases have a weird coloring; did you clean them with some chemical? The All Hobbies one, didn’t know they had a license to produce cases . . . really weird colors.

As far as I know, they’re all new.
Yeah, it’s kinda a mix of stuff. The All Hobbies cases are a special made run by Dr Rocket for a 10th (or something) anniversary. The 29mm are LDRS, and the 38mm are Millennium. Been a while since I’ve inspected them. I was always gonna make a shelf in my rocket room for them and display them.

Looks like Dr. Rocket was doing quite a bit of experimentation between 2000 and 2003. I haven’t heard anybody mention having a Dr. Rocket case after 2003; if anybody does have a later Dr. Rocket case, please speak up, I’d like to pinpoint the date Dr. Rocket quit production or no longer had the license to produce cases for Aerotech.

I have a black Dr. Rocket 29/180 from 2005. It looks like it was part of some level 1 certification special. I can send a picture if needed.

A Dr. Rocket case in black, where was his imagination when he made that one;).

Those Millennium casings are beautiful! I'm not sure if I could fly those, they're just too pretty. I've had a long standing love affair with the red Dr. Rockets casings, but never really considered collecting them.
I looked for that "Desert fire" casing and couldn't find it, but in the process, I decided to inventory the snap ring casings we have.

Most of the small casings at the bottom are Kosdon 24, 29 and 38mm cases that we picked up from Jim Rosson when he sold out. Some of them even have grains and are complete, but I have no idea what they are. I have tried to convince Sharon to get rid of them, since we don't cast anything less than a 54mm grain, but she still owns every casing we ever bought. :questions:

Moving up to the 54's, that first one is an odd ball Kosdon that was probably cut down from a larger case. The next three are 54/750 two grain casings we use for testing, and an AMW of the same size. The blue casing is an old Loki 54/1050 casing, then several Kosdon and a Loki 54/1600. Another odd ball below the two 54/2550 casings, and we have two more of those built and loaded for the next launch. One more odd ball, about 3000 Ns, and two Kosdon and one Loki 54/4000 casing. I've flown the Loki a couple of times, but the Kosdon casings don't have a thrust ring groove, which I think Frank Kosdon never did like.

Then we have the 75's, with a 75 one grain and a Kosdon 75/2500 test casing, and a casing of unknown heritage about the same size. The next one is an old Ellis Mountain 75/5000, and four 75/6000 casings. These are another favorite motor for our bigger rockets, and we have two more built and loaded for the next launch.
We picked up three different 75/8000 casings at Airfest back in 2018, and one 75/9000 from DeeRoc29. The cardboard tube holds our only 75/10000 casing we got from Jim Rosson, and I'm keeping the cardboard tube because it has Paul Robinson's name and address on it.

We have just started casting in 98mm, so we only have a few casings in that size. The first one is a 98/10000 un-anodized casing with a damaged groove from our first 98mm research motor. It blew out the nozzle when the oversized ignitor tried to get out. The next one is a new Mike Fisher 98/10000 that we bought to replace the damaged one, and then another 98/10000 DeeRoc29 casing we picked up while waiting for the Mike Fisher casing. It's loaded with an N2161 Don Alexander slow white load. That will be our second attempt, scheduled to fly on New Years eve this month. The last two are AMW casings, a 98/13000 and a 98/16000, which we hope to move up to next year.

On the right is the casing I'm referring to.

I also have a 29/180 I bought from wildman last year with a blue forward enclosure. Anyone have an explanation on that one?

The Dr. Rocket case does look cooler than the Aerotech one. Add to that, the serial number and date of manufacture, and Dr. Rocket wins hands down.

As for the blue forward closure, I’d call Wildman and ask them. I don’t see any excuse for mismatching cases and closures.

To be honest, I'm not mad about it at all. I'm actually glad to have a blue closure as blue is my favorite color. I was just curious where it came from so I could maybe find more.
