On the right is the casing I'm referring to.

I also have a 29/180 I bought from wildman last year with a blue forward enclosure. Anyone have an explanation on that one?
I just remembered, Ron Shultz from Loc had a run of clone hardware soon after Gary introduced it. Of course Gary hit him with a cease and desist order immediately. Some of it made it to the public. I think he had different colored closures not sure about the blue though.

Benn trying to find casings. I need a 98/7680 set. Cant find them anywhere.
I'm fine with Aerotech or AMW. Seems like the few people that have them dont have a lot of 98MM.

Aerotech and AMW are NOT interchangeable! What are your plans?
Hi Jim,
Yeah I know they are not interchangeable. Im looking to buy one system or the other.
Those were the systems I was most familiar with when I last was active..
Now it seems like they are both hard to find in stock anywhere.

I was sold an AMW 54/1400 motor that I was told was compatible with Kosdon. Was going to test that, but I ended up picking up a Kosdon 54/1400 case. Still not sure that the AMW nozzle and forward closure will work with the KBA reloads. I have a Kosdon 54mm forward closure . . . it’s the AMW nozzle that concerns me; it’s longer than the nozzle I have for my Kosdon 54/2550.

Ok ok, I'll get in on the fun.

I have a smattering of hardware from over the years. Unfortunately, I had a full 54mm ISP set that I had to sell in 2003 when I lost my job. I really wish I never let those go. I was the second owner at the time and when I bought them, I only made $11/hr as a jr design engineer and saved half a year to buy them.

The first piece of hardware I ever bought was a 54/1706 motor in 1996, year after I graduated, was making $7.25/hr and semi-homeless. That piece of kit was painful to purchase at that time, it was so expensive to me at the time but I wanted it so so so badly.

Then was a 54/852 case from Dr Rocket in 2000
Then a Dr Rocket "Desert Fire" 29/360 motor in 2002 right before I lost my job in early 2003; I couldn't afford the set. Not even close at the time.

Then took a HPR hiatus for several years.....

Then several years later, with a much better paying job and getting back to HPR...
Bought some Monster Motors hardware, the 29/40-120, 38/120 "Shot Glass", and the 38/240 case/motor.
Then bought the 38/600, 38/720, 38/1200, 76/6000 Loki hardware a year later.

Then took a HPR hiatus again for several years.....

Then came back again (this time for good!) and then began buying whatever I wanted and thats where all the rest of the AT hardware has come from over the last....6 years?

I have 98mm hardware on the way from Black Friday as well so.....the hardware heard is growing steadily. I just wish I had more money in my teens and early 20's to buy more of the beautiful boutique hardware that was coming out at the time.

I also have Hypertek stuff but thats all in storage and likely rotting away.

Its funny how much memory and memories are tied to these aluminum tubes, for me and for all of us. I am 44 now and have had that 54/1706 since I was a teenager.

So many things in life have come and gone but my rocket stuff, most of that has stayed. Sadly when we lost our house in 1995, I had to scrap all my rockets as I had no where to keep them. I had an 8"dia x 13' tall, 5x54mm cluster made of sono tubes that sadly never flew. My Caliber ISP, my first scratch build.

Memoriesssssss

Memories. I remember many of the cases lost or damaged that are pictured above. I really miss Dr. Rocket and Rousetech.

That Desert Fire case is a true beauty. Wish I had not taken a hiatus from rocketry at that time, but with the ATF lawsuit and having purchased a new Harley, the time was well spent.

Look what I found, I knew I had one. LDRS 17, green forward, black aft closures. It is for sale. Make me an offer I can't refuse!!!

Jim, that is beautiful. I would love to buy it from you but I just spent an enormous amount with Tim 2 weeks ago and while I can afford it, I feel if I made an offer, it would insult you as I have no idea what you might want for it.

Hey Brian, sell me that 29/360 motor and then you’d have the money to buy the 38/1080 motor from Jim.:bravo::eggnog:

The black 29/360 right next to my 29/360 Desert Fire motor? You got it! ;)

I believe Jim's is a 54/2560 as well. Sadly, I just bought a 2560 case for my WM M2 kit with my order to Tim. I could always add that green beauty though.... 🥰

ROFL, I had to try . . . $200

Guessing thats a 38/1080 or a 54/2560?

I have both in 38/1080 -- Green and millenium (blue/purple) - both with matching closures. :)

I just traded a millennium 54/2560 motor for some smaller millenniums in 29mm and 38mm. Since I started breaking up my 54mm millennium set, I may as well go the distance. Not looking to sell them, they are best used as trade bait. Looking for a millennium 38/600 and a millennium 29/360 to complete those sets. Also looking for Desert Fire cases/forward closures. I have three more 54mm millenniums to make trades with, 852, 1280, and 1706 and three millennium forward closures (1 - standard closure, 1 - extended standard closure, and 1 - extended plugged closure). These millennium cases have never been used.

LET’S MAKE A DEAL!

My case collection is growing little by little. I just received the 54/950 and 38/740 cases today in anticipation of an L2 attempt and future projects.

I have a 38/240 and a 38/360 in desert fire, I believe... I'll dig them up. I have a Millenium 38/1080 and a Green 38/1080, but I don't think you're looking for those.

Those Desert Fire interest me, but no doubt they interest you more. However, if you have a deal in mind for the Desert Fire, don’t hesitate to propose something.
