I'm going to launch all three rockets that make up my falcon heavy model; should be fun.
Just a little project I’m working on.WHAT! IS! THAT!
Yes in Bixby and fly here and Argonia. I sent a check to join, guess I need to start checking your launch schedule as well.Tripoli Oklahoma. Tripoli Oklahoma Rocketry Homepage We launch at the airport at Sayre. Are you in Bixby, like your signature says? We would be glad to have you launch with us!
Can I ask were you got the tubing ?Just a little project I’m working on.
@beeblebrox I noticed that too. The on/off button is on top of the camera as far as what it shoots. But with the stock nosecone the image is 90 degrees off.Taking a second look at my new Estes Astro-Cram... Out of the box, the camera is filming with the orientation vertical rather than horizontal. The plan is to redesign the nose section and 3D-Print a new one with camera properly orientated. Also the booster is very flimsy, need to build a better one, the stock fins are a little warped out-the-box. It spins...
There are a few vendors on Amazon that sell carbon tube in various sizes. There aren't many that match our standard rocket sizes though. Can I ask were you got the tubing ?
Glassed my first tube! Thanks to all the TRF thread posters, the guys at LOC and to John Coker for his excellent video.

How thick is your paper mache?Today I put the finishing touches on my latest rocket. It's a BMS 3" BT with a 38mm x 15" mmt. The fins are 1/4 poplar ply wood. It is dual deploy. I used 1500 lb kevlar shock cord, 20' for each one. The nose cone and boat tail are paper mache cones. I used multiple coats of thinned CWF and then sanded that until I got them smooth. It is 65" long and weighs 65 oz with the chutes. The paint is Rusto 2x. I'm calling this one blue streakView attachment 475437View attachment 475438View attachment 475439

The walls are about 3/16th. The are very sturdy. The can be coated with thinned CWF. They take paint well. I got them from Amazon. How thick is your paper mache?
I drool over all my motor cases. I also am only good at buying the longest case in each diameter.I think we need details on this drool-worthy case...
