How about something completely different?


The shadow of the rocket is visible on the left as the rocket leaves the launch tower as seen by the downward facing camera.

The nose cone has been cut free and begins its descent as seen by the outward facing camera.

Yes indeed. The nose cone was intentionally separated from the booster when the main chute deployed. The nose cone stayed attached to the two drogue chutes and the booster came down on the freshly deployed twin main chutes. They landed about 100 feet apart.

The two on board GoPro cameras captured some amazing images of the flight.

I figured I might as well submit something. Here is my L2 certification flight. Motor is a CTI K740 C-star. Altitude 5,999' at Mach 1 (still unsure of the accuracy of the speed).

I submitted this for the last calendar, but it didn't get chosen. It's so good, I thought I would submit it again. This is my successful Level 2 flight, of my scratch built upscale Shadow, on a CTI J400 Smoky Sam. Photo taken by my son, Joe. Yes, I'm proud!
