I got similar comments when I did my Red Alert clone.

Mr. Roadster here don't hold with all them new fangled, 3D CNLaser doohickies. Ifn he can't do it with a lathe, a power sander, and some hand tools then it ain't worth doin'.
Old World wood craftsmanship rules! Show me the grain! Not some rough, stinking 3D printer build up.
