Niche within a Niche

In another thread, I was shocked to see that there were less than 10,000 NAR members, which is tiny compared to the AMA with around 200,000.

Of course, the number of RCBG fliers has to be miniscule. @burkefj, what is your guess? Less than 50?

Definitely a niche, but likely a few more than that.

Frank probably has more customers than 50.

We have 5 that I know of in the DFW area, three in my RC club.

I've sold about 1350 kits in 8 years, probably 100-200 have ordered more than one over time, the market is divided though, but there are flyers that prefer the dlg style of high performance rocket gliders instead of the sport rocket planes that I do, and there are those that prefer wood over foam, and some I just want an ARF. Some prefer just converting a foamy electric model or dlg and some just prefer to do scratch builds. So you can make of that what you will about the market.
