Another DFW rocketeer... (TX)

HELLO!
Like so many I've read here, I'm getting back into the hobby after 30ish years off.
My son is into Space so we've stepped into model rocketry...
My kiddos (son 10, daughter 8) are both getting into it and even my wife wants to build one (we're debating an Estes set that she can customize or a full scratch built idea... more on that later hopefully).

Went to the DARS launch in June and the kids walked away with a rocket each.
Came back in July with their DARS rockets and a new one each to launch and they LOVED IT. I sent my Odd'l Birdie up twice (took 30 minutes to find it the first time). We even stayed late to watch A&M get some Level 1 Certs.
Man it was HOT out there!!!

Hoping TNT has a launch in Akroville as I don't think we can make the drive from McKinney to Seymour.
We might have a mid power to bring out there but may just come watch.

Currently working on...
- my son has an idea for a large, low altitude, payloader/lifter (he wants to make some of his small stuffed animals "astronauts")
- rehabbing a Patriot that was stepped on
- re-painting a Cheetah that was a gift
- Debating MY next rockets and eventually doing Level 1, possibly beyond
- daughter has plans for a small kit that she wants to paint (her first kit was a Estes Tigress we customized like a Red Panda tail)
- wife has plans for something...
