Was high time to get everything in a single pile and take inventory...

Motor-Cases-Scaled.jpg

Hmmm...more than I thought!
Next acquisition should be a CTI 75mm 4 grain with closures

Not the best picture, but whatever

CTI Pro54 6G and 3G

AT 54/1706. 1280. 852. Extended and regular forward closure.

AT 38/720. 360. Two spacers.

AT 29/180 millennium edition. And regular

In the back is the Project 60k Pro98 6XL that lived a N5800 shred.

I am missing a handful of stuff. Perhaps I have it loaned out? There is a ProDat tool, but where are my 38/29 CTI cases.

I will be back.

Well didn't find what I was looking for, but added in are.

Pro54 tail cone and delay adjustment tool and 2 spacers

Pro75 2spacers and a wrench.

AT 38/1080

Hobbyline 29/40-120. Unusable because of CATO

Pro98 nozzle holder

I should have a Pro29 3G, two spacers, and Pro38 3G and two spacers.

Will post a photo after next weekend, when I fly my first 54mm.

Later!

OK,

Here are mine:
AT Hobby cases
18/20
24/40x3
24/60
29/40-120x2

Dr Rocket / Rouse-Tech / HP cases
29/60 38/120 54/427 98/2560
29/100 38/240 54/852 98/5120
29/120 38/480 54/1280 98/7680
29/180x2 38/600 54/1706
29/240 38/720 54/2560
29/360 38/1080

CTI
29 3 grain + 2 spacers
38 1 thru 6 grain, no spacers, no XL
54 3 & 6 grain + 6 grain XL case + 2 spacers and cool tailcone closure.

The Dr Rocket 38/1080 case lives inside the 54/2560 case with a bubble wrap blankie
There is a thin foam sheet that goes over each side before closing the case. Snug as bugs in rugs.
Now I just have to find accommodations for the Dr Rocket 98's and the CTI.
I liberated the aluminum case from my ex-wife (before the ex part). She had bought it to store horse clippers. I looked at it and thought "hmm I know what will work good in this". I did give her a Snap On toolbox in trade tho........ I think money wise it was a wash. But we couldn't find the aluminum case mfg to get another, so that's how she got the Snap On toolbox.

Adrian

Oh, Bob (the builder) says hello

Very nice Adrian! I'm looking to get an aluminum case about that size for my 54mm casings.

I used to keep all of mine in various cases, then I realized that the cases added a lot of bulk, and rarely do I want to bring everything to a launch.

Instead, I tossed the cases and switched to the "Pile on a shelf" method. I grab the cases I need, and bring them to the launch, saving a lot of space in the process.

I feel so inferior as I read through this...the only cases I have are a CTI 29mm 3 grain and a 38mm 1 grain from the same brand. I WILL be getting a 29mm 4 grain case soon, and hopefully a 38mm 4G case after that...I hate not having a job...

I took this picture a month or so ago awhile ago while I was getting ready for a launch. This is the majority of them, there were a few still in the rocket box, though. Looks pretty weak compared to some of the hardware I've seen in this thread.....

I have since added an AT 18/20, one additional 29/40-120 and a RT 29/360 to this list.

Next up is a 29/120 at some point so I can fly G77R's as at this point I don't see the 29/40-120 G71R coming back.

There's more in the garage... And more in a drawer at the lab... Plus my AT and CTI and 6" stuff at home, and the ones I've loaned out to friends... I think I have a problem.

A wide range of cases: Aerotech 29/40-120, 54/1706, CTI Pro29 3g, Pro98 6gxl with Bare Necessities's fins still on it. Our homemade Pro98 wrench is on the case.

P1020712.jpgMy collection:

As you can see, I'm all about hobbyline, 29mm, and 38mm. This range fits my flying style/needs just fine.

I'm also all about scrounging around for used/blowouts/deals/castoffs - with the exception of one 29/40-120 case, EVERYTHING here was bought used, traded for, or in a couple instances on sale. Hence the fact that lots of the hardware is mix-n-match for color (which I actually like better). Many of you here on TRF have been involved with my long quest to acquire full sets, bit by bit (thanks to those that contributed to my campaign!). A number of bits were bought via E(vil)bay as well.

A few of my Dr.Rockets cases are Millenium or Desert Fire editions (which I got cheap!). I think these are pretty cool.
I've got triples of a couple of sizes, as I'm kinda into three-way clusters.

About the only thing missing is a CTI 29mm 6g case - anyone selling a used one, let me know!
I'm also possibly going to build a new rocket that will require three CTI 29mm 2g or 3g cases, but I'm not sure about it yet.

The listing:
AT -
(2x) - 18/20
(3x) - 24/40
- 24/60
(3x) - 29/40-120

29/60, 29/100, (2x) 29/180 (one with adapter system), 29/240, 29/360
38/240, 38/360, 38/480, 38/600, 38/720

CTI -
29/3g, 29/5g, and two spacers
38/1g, 38/2g, 38/3g. 38/4g, 38/5g, 38/6g

And lastly is my fancy storage case (a thrift store briefcase I bought for $1.00).

The thrust ring on the Pro75 isn't anodized? Why is it shiny? (Pro98 cases are not shiny there)

Added to recently...

Dr Rocket 29mm's ( 180, 240, 360) and Loki 54mm (2ea 2000's and a 2800 w/different nozzles)

The thrust ring is a separate piece, and as such, is anodized separately. If I remember right, between my 75 & 98 cases, I have a mix of shiny and not shiny.

How is it attached if it is separate? My case was turned down from larger diameter stock, and the (integral) thrust ring was left larger at the very back there.
