That nose cone is a 11/10 piece.Photo Shoot
I really like the way this is coming out. The rear fuselage really looks sweet.
Seeing any flying weather in near future? Looking forward to some of these birds strutting their stuff!
It's just really not fair that all the talent goes to just a handful of great builders! What an awesome build!
Find YOUR niche. Aside from @BEC and the departed der Micromeister, who both seemed to be good at everything (although der Micromeister definitely leaned toward MicroMaxx at least in his later years), people you deem “masters” have taken their particular God given and job acquired and other talents and their own personality and found an area of rocket building and flying which exploits those things (in a good way). It's just really not fair that all the talent goes to just a handful of great builders! Goodness.....I think you overstate my skill and knowledge. But thanks for the compliment. I'm surely not in the same class as Micromeister.Find YOUR niche. There are a wholes slew of branches on the tree called model rocketry. Starting out, explore a number of them and see which one or more “grabs” you. Trust me, once you find one that pegs your “fun” meter, you will be on your way to Mastery. I’m sure @Daddyisabar would say it more stylishly.
Great build!!! ...
... How much does she weigh? ...
.... what motor sizes are you looking at using?
I bought the lathe for under $200. I later bought the chuck. There are many things other than rockets that can be made... here are a few:I need to get me a lathe…
Edit I just looked at how much a lathe is and it was EXPENSIVE are you made of money!!
Are those dual launch lugs? 2 rods or 1 on a side?
Symmetry... for looks. I'll be using (1) 5/16" launch rod with 66" of usable length. Are those dual launch lugs? 2 rods or 1 on a side?
Dual launch lugs would be cool .Symmetry... for looks. I'll be using (1) 5/16" launch rod with 66" of usable length.

Yeah put a rod in each, that would be super unique and I know how you like unique stuff. It has (2) launch lugs...

A guy can dream…That's problematic... getting the spacing just right where it wouldn't bind. Complexity, for the sake of complexity.... kind of a non-starter.
Complexity for complexity’s sake makes for good thought experiments and bad products.A guy can dream…
Edit also coming from a guy who built a Saturn 5 with all engines and stages!
I like 'em.
