Having different tastes should never be a reason to "make enemies". The hobby (and life) would be boring if everyone like the same things. Seriously.I feel that I prefer the opposite of most people in this forum. I'm going to make a lot of enemies with my opinions here, but oh well!
OK NOW YOU'VE GONE TOO FARLastly, I hate the pseudo sci-fi rockets with lots of complicated tubes, fins, and cockpit window decals. Interceptor? Astron Explorer? Explorer Aquarius?

You have described most of my favorite features. Except for split fins and rectangular fins.I see many people pay good money and spend hours and even days to build some of these rockets and I'm like, "You knew it would be that ugly before you started!" This is all a matter of opinion, of course, but where better to share an opinion than on the internet!
Here are some of my least favorite rocket features:
How about you? What leaves you shaking your head when you see it? Again, not talking about construction techniques or anything, just design and finish. I'm curious how many posts it will take before someone describes what they hate most and it's my preferences!
- Dull, rounded off nose cones.
- Rectangular fins, especially if they come off at a 45 degree angle (looks like a child's drawing to me).
- Short, stubby rockets.
- Split fins (unless part of a scale model kit).
- Lame paint jobs (especially neon pink ones).
- Rockets designed to be under-powered so they fly low and slow.

Just... no.
“it’s a crime against humanity to build a Fat Boy stock.”
Funny enough, I agree with you. BUT, I own a fiber Max due to a generous secret Santa. It’s actually one of my favorites to fly despite the fact that I don’t like to look at it.Der Red Max

Sounds like one of my ex girlfriends. It’s actually one of my favorites to fly despite the fact that I don’t like to look at it.
I've got a spool that is literally a plastic spool of wire. Flies on a shorty 29mm. It's almost indestructable. People seem surprised that it flies, and is stable. I like it because it's about as far from 3FNC as you can get.I won't say I hate them, but I don't see the appeal of pyramids, spools, Happy Meal boxes, etc. I guess I just like rockets that look like...rockets.
What makes the DRM aesthetic interesting to me isn't so much the decals it comes with, but the decals it inspires. See the Max section on the Stickershock23 website. I had Stickershock make me this pope-themed Max, with all the text in latin, papal crosses, a Vatican secret archive seal, and skulls in pope hats. My dog-loving wife is planning a dachshund-themed Max.

Left over Bertha fins?Me too. Also those short, three motored, three streamered, three different nose cone jobs.
What idiot builds those kinds of things anyway?

I don't know if I've ever built one stock; I must have. But even the upper stage of my two-stage Big Fat Boy that uses an 18mm motor is modified to accept the coupler from the booster stage. The great Rick Gaff once told me “it’s a crime against humanity to build a Fat Boy stock.” I followed his sage advice and built my very first Fat Boy with a 24mm mmt, only to crash it on it’s second flight... Oh well. Parts were acquired, fins were salvaged. Rebuild paused years ago for no good reason...
Aaaaaaah!! Kill it with fire!!As Steve Martin would say, "Well, excuuuuuuuuuse me"!
Here's a cool stubby rocket built a few days ago.
Launch Labs Bullet Bobby.

I'm sure I'm going to catch some hate for this too, but I've never understood the appeal of the Der Red Maxes. The shape/design is fine, but the decals.
Estes Rock-It...after someone pointed out that it looked like a giant phallus, my innocence was gone. So while I like almost any type of rocket including all those hated ones already noted...I hate ones that have cajones.
What about saucers, spools, copters, rbgs and cups?Bad news for you - ALL rockets look like giant phalluses

Also maybe it has a lot to do with the fins...Bad news for you - ALL rockets look like giant phalluses
Yeah, but some of them *really* lean into the image. New Glenn is the poster child.
