Know, that I say that not to be dismissive, but with affection. When I got to TX 14 years ago I couldn’t believe how bad the craft beer scene was...how was a state with this many Czechs and Germans this bad at beer? Turns out the laws were so tilted against all but the monster brewers that there was almost no chance for little guys. As I understand it, that legal landscape has changed a lot over the last 5-10 years, and there has been an explosion of craft breweries...like anything, not all are good, but it is cool to see (and drink) the overall quality of local offerings evolve in fast forward like it has.
