Got some of this today. I have been known to eat the ants, so the gin should be nice.
Don't try this with fire ants!
The Brownie looks good!
They make nests out of leaves by stitching them together. If you are unlucky the nest can drop between your back and a backpack when you are walking in the jungle (as Cape Byron would say, #askmehowIknow). The good news is that they nibble when they bite, and there is no formic acid or other incendiary chemicals in their bite. It just feels like lots of little things nibbling you. If you grab one by the front end and bite off it's bulbous rear abdomen it really is a nice tangy citrus hit. If you want to be more eco friendly you can have the ant walk on your fingers and spit into your mouth. Yes, that is really a thing to do with these critters. They spit the same citrus flavoured stuff directly at you. Would take quite a while to make a meal of them though .Thanks for posting this.
