With noted exceptions*, get to next Black Friday without buying anything more.

No parts, materials, nose cones, glues, resins, paints...nothing.

If I don't have it, I just refocus and work on something I do have parts and materials for.

*Exceptions I will claim in advance:
  • CTI reloads from the local on-site vendor
  • small miscellaneous hardware required to execute some detail of a plan, like nuts, bolts, washers, that kind of stuff
  • printer resins
  • GSE: towers, rail hardware, electronics, etc.
  • tools
I guarantee I can build some cool stuff within this constraint, and it's about time I get started.

-----------------

As specific achievement goals, hurry up and get my L1 done.
Also, the resin printer and CNC router up and running, making parts.

1. Finish the 9 rockets I have in progress, as they need primed and/or painted.
2. Make a successful dual deployment launch.
3. Come up with the money to buy all of the parts for my L3 rocket.
4. Launch TLP Indigo rocket.
5. Launch Majestic rocket.
6. Launch both 40 year old Corporal rockets.
7. Launch Solar Explorer rocket.

I did a lot this year, so let’s keep it rolling!

1- Fly a K motor (I already have everything to fly one!)
2- Build that new carbon fiber/cardboard/fiberglass rocket I’m working on
3- Use GPS/Aquire system
4- Fly first research sugar motor!
5- Go to the rocket pasture
6- Dont run out of money
7- Start all of the nonsense of a L3

1) Repair the EZI and fly it with my Loki J175
2) Finish the Cherokee-H and paint it.
3) Fly the LOC 4" Goblin.
4) Get started on my Level 3 project.
5) Successfully make some Research motors and fly them.
6) Finish 3D printing my 2X Mars Snooper and fly it.
7) Refinish the fiberglass 4" Nike Smoke and fly it.

I'm probably biting off a bit more than I can chew, but we'll see.
  • Break the Tripoli H record
  • Break the Tripoli J record
  • Break the Tripoli M record
  • Get back into local low power flying
  • Fly some hybrids
  • Start making my own motors
  • Break the Tripoli M record again

  • Attend LDRS (Epic!)
  • L3 build and attempt
  • Attend as many club launches as possible
  • Attend a launch at another club
  • Develop and test some new techniques
  • Continue working and testing active mechanical stabilization system
  • Build and launch some crazy and cool rockets
  • Try not to piss off anyone here and also try not to get pissed off lol
  • Have as much fun as I can and make friends while doing the above :)

Last year:

Little changed from last year...

- Test the six prototypes sitting in the office.
- Release the four kits I still can't get materials for.
- Start, complete and fly the Horizon Models Redstone SPARTA WRESAT PMC that stares at me from its box every morning.
- Upscale the Fliskits Nanite.
- Fly more.
- Sell more.
- Bring LPR to the masses.

Let’s just say that didn’t happen.

Ah well, try again this year.

I've done that before. I called it my 'Black Rock Special'.
A further constraint was to start with just parts then build and fly at BALLS.
It was 'only' a 38mm and my first attempt at a J-570.
Motor CATO'd at ignition due to 'grain hammer' (tight fitting grains pushed up against the forward closure with a gap at the bottom).
When the rocket took off, the grains stayed put and extruded out the bottom.

-Finish building my L3 rocket.
-Test all of my electronics for the L3 rocket in my Iris.
-Test new parachutes and deployment bags for the L3 rocket.
-Test fly the L3 rocket on a "big" K motor to keep it low enough to prevent drift and visually verify that new deployment system works.
-Fly the scratch built 29mm minimum diameter rocket.
-Repair the goblin fin can and build the new fin can to be 2 stage compatible.

It's gonna be a busy year!

flying 7,5” Eagle One v.2 for my level 3 certification.
flying 4” Spitfire, my two stage custom designed rocket
getting all of rocket club students to successfully fly their first rockets
Establishing a new LPR - HPR launch field within 30 minutes of my science lab, making it more affordable for my students to launch rockets.

- I had 1.95 successful DD flights in 2023, I would like to do many more in 2024
- Build my Doorknob and do some cluster flights including airstart clusters.
- First flight of my Atomic Piledriver, I just ran out of time to launch it in 2023.
- Build a fiberglass rocket.
-Turn my 4" upscale Dragon Rocketry Red Nova into a 2 stage and launch it. [successfully:)]
- LDRS 42 !!!
- EX propellant???

Here’s the list of possibilities in stream of consciousness order
1) Add 3 models to my V2 series
2) Upgrade ASP to dual deployment
3) Design helicopter hub for 3D printer fabrication
4) Add 2 models to my Honest John series
5) Upscale my Mexico London scratch built
6) Add one model to my Doorknob series
7) Successfully complete a 10k flight
8) Setup paint hood and airbrush system
9) Cleanup the garage
10) Make a tube slotting system for the CNC router.

Shorter list than last year:
- Help the TARC team I mentor make it to Nationals and get a second flight (place 42 or better after first flight)
- Finish the half-done re-work of the Windmill of Destiny
- Fly every rocket in my fleet at least once in the year

And the stretchiest of stretch goals:
- Fly the X-wing without breaking a wing on landing. I'm not sure this is possible.
