I just received an email with link to The Potter Rocketeer.
Signing up for LDRS I was put on the list.
Very nicely done.
Club and LDRS news, historical article with a kit review of a rocket related to historical. Plans for a rocket.
Reminds me of old model airplane magazines.

Hey, as the guy that pulls that publication all together, I very much appreciate your comments. Thanks!
I'll agree with OP. I normally ignore most newsletters, but I was surprised at how good a read it was and I read it through.

Great work to your team...it is very much appreciated!

I gotta admit that when I saw the title, I imagined a rocket made of fired ceramic. At least you wouldn't have to worry about what the eject charge would do to the body.

I worked on ceramic nose cone for a high fast rocket. Resists heat and erosion and is radio transparent.
Shrinkage upon firing is a problem.
It’s more durable than you would think, if it doesn’t hit a rock it probably won’t break.

That's funny. Of course, and its probably apparent when you reading it, but the real story is that our club field is in Potter, NY.

What paint did you use on that?
The white is Rusto Pro. It's the 3rd time I've used it and probably the last. The first coat goes on fine, but every time I've tried to put another coat on it I get orange peel, whether I wait a day or months.
The orange is Rusto 2x "Real Orange", no complaints.
Primer was Rusto 2in1 Fill/Sand

Attached is the official program for the event, a special edition of the Potter Rocketeer...
