Rocketry explorer post

When I was still in high school (80’s) I was part of an explorer post that met at NAS Pensacola, we did a lot of calculations and designs on paper and chalk boards. We ended up flying a couple of our designs. I was wondering if explorer posts for rocketry still exist out there, and what would it took to get involved in mentoring
