Rocketry Tourist
Traveled ~17 hrs from Northern California to Alamosa, Colorado to fly at 2021 NSL over the Memorial weekend. Stopped over in Moab to see Arches and Canyonland National Parks on the way.
Most of travel was on Route 50, not much traffic.
San Luis Valley Rocketeers put on a well organized and attended launch. Good Crowd, lots of vendors, and lots of pads. Loved food booth by Scouts and Potato Bar the Boys and Girls Club setup. Even selling ice on site. Weather was great in the mornings. After lunch wind and cloud rolled in but launching continued. Great to see old friends after more than a year off.
I launched Saturday and Sunday. Six flights for me this time. Only one flight had issue - 2nd stage on Nike Tomahawk didn't ignite but both stage landed without an issue.
