We would like to thank each and every one of you..
You have supported us and pushed us forward and up in a way we wouldn’t have dared dream..
We donate raffle prizes to clubs all across the country all the time..
But each year we feel this is a more direct way of saying a substantial and heartfelt Thank you
to this whole wonderful community for your support all year long..
Onebadhawk will run their annual "Black Friday" sale, as always for the entire week of Thanksgiving,,
Sunday 11/24/2019 through Monday 12/02/2019,, it's much more relaxed / no rush this way..
you’ll get the best deals of the year on harnesses and a whole lot more..
As usual, we try to help with the expense of setting up dual deploy rockets..
The sale will be "Buy 3 get 1 of equal or lesser value free" on every harness on the Onebadhawk site....
Those savings will average out to between 20% and 25%.....
Now that's a great deal on some great harnesses..
Even on all of the new material that we're having manufactured specially for us..
New material / product alert !!!! 1/4", and 3/8" Tubular Kevlar
There's been a gap in our product line with the smaller / lighter Kevlar materials...
Not anymore,, we now have 1/4" and 3/8" Tubular Kevlar ..
Now they'll be no more guessing at what material fits a particular size airframe..

Our 3/16" Tubular Kevlar is just perfect for those really small airframes
where space is at an absolute premium-- 38mm, 54mm and 2.6"....
Our 1/4" Tubular Kevlar is just perfect for 3" airframes..
Our 3/8" Tubular Kevlar is just perfect for 4" airframes..
Our 7/16" Tubular Kevlar is just perfect for 5" and up airframes..

No more gaps in material size..
No more guessing which harness for my current rocketry build..

The 3/16" Tubular Kevlar is now available as "standard" in 15 ft or 20 ft,
so it'll fit those tight 38mm airframes all the way up to 2.6" airframes..

The 7/16" Tubular Kevlar 3 loop booster harnesses will now be 30 ft "standard",,
while the 7/16" Tubular Kevlar 2 loop payload section harnesses will still be 25 ft "standard"..

This is like getting custom harnesses at "standard production run" prices..

These new materials are just perfect for so many applications..
They're super small, but super strong,, and are also abrasion resistant...
These harnesses are certain to become an absolute favorite...
Wait till you see these harnesses,,, they're just as cool as it gets....

( But of course, this sale cannot include any custom work,, or Kevlar sleeved nylon harnesses )...

And just because I love to see them out in the field at a launch,,
Anyone who's total comes out to $200 or more I'll throw in the coolest T shirt around,,,
A Onebadhawk T Shirt of your choice ( Blue, Gold, or Lime ) for as long as existing supplies last,,,
The shirts are just as cool as it gets,, just wait till you see them,, that's another 15% off the entire order...

Onebadhawk Polished Stainless Steel Hardware is commonly known as
“the right stuff” "the best around" and everyone loves it..
To celebrate the holiday, the best hardware around will be offered at the best prices of the year to sweeten the pot on the black weekend sale offerings,,
you’ll get 20% off all the stainless hardware you’d like..
I can even offer you the same additional 20% off
The best drogue chutes in rocketry- Top Flight Ultra X drogue chutes,,
SCP Products Machined Delrin Airfoiled Rail Guides,,
    And Rocket Junkies Charge wells..

As always, just send me an email at the sales@onebadhawk.com address with all of the items you'd like,
and I'll send you an invoice to pay at PayPal..

We always love to celebrate our friendly affiliation with Wildman Hobbies,,
We will have available through Wildman Hobbies our harnesses in sets / pairs
as appropriate for his special new rockets he is having his sale on..
These harness deals will only be available through Wildman Hobbies..
These harnesses will be at a better price then they have ever been offered before,, 20% off..
( Except one very special deal on a rocket and Onebadhawk Harness set
that's a better deal then has ever been offered before, hands down,, lol.. )

I say quite often, I can't wait for you to get the harnesses, you're going to just flip when you see them..

    One final word,,
My wife Sandy and I are quite fortunate this year to have a house full coming for Thanksgiving...
We used to have many over regularly, but over the years people move,, kids grow up,, go figure,, lol...
We're quite excited for Thanksgiving this year,
but will be busy for the week of ( now ) and the week after ( next )..
Please be aware that as last year, we will ship as we can for the week of the sale..
I certainly hope this is OK with everyone,, but I know you folks will say this is no big deal...

I just don't know how to thank you all enough for all of your support throughout the year...

    Sincerely,, respectfully,, humbly,,

    Ted Chernok..

    That's no big deal though..

    Hey Teddy,

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Sandy!

I've got a couple of new rockets that need harnesses so I'll be sending you an email in the next day or two. I agree that you have the best hardware around so I'll be ordering some of that as well.

FYI, I don't see the Top Flight chutes on your website other than a mention on your first page. What are your prices for the 12",16",20",24". Any recommendations for weight ranges for the different chutes?

    cheers - mark

    Hi Mark,,
    How are you man ??
Yep, I most certainly agree, the stainless I sell, I sell for a reason..
There is a difference, I've been flying for more years then I care to try to remember..
There is no doubt about the difference in the hardware..
I'm sorry, I never put buttons on my site for each item, there'd be so many.
I like it better that you send me am email with what you want then I make an invoice for you.
This way I can't wind up getting paid for something I can't ship at the moment..

The pricing on the Top Flight Ultra X Form Drogues is as follows..

12" Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Standard Colors $11.00
Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Metallic Gold / Black $14.00
16" Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Standard Colors $13.00
Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Metallic Gold / Black $16.00
20" Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Standard Colors $15.00
Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Metallic Gold / Black $19.00
24" Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Standard Colors $16.00
Top Flight Ultra X Form Chute- Metallic Gold / Black $21.00

    The metallics are ridiculously cool..
The panels are an alternating pattern..
No matter what angle the chute is facing you there's metallic facing you..
Great for catching a glint from the sun at apogee..

For the sizing on a drogue, you want the smallest drogue possible,
( you want the rocket to fall from apogee as fast as possible, less horizontal drift )
while still maintaining control over the mass of the payload section..
Take a look at this series of pics..
For the entire way down from apogee the payload section is held in a position pointing
out and away from everything else falling,, no matter when the main charges fires,
there's a greatly reduced risk of entanglement..

    http://onebadhawk.com/mars-8222015.html

This rocket is my 4" Scratch "Steampunk" ..
    It's heavy for a 4", it was almost 50 lbs on the pad with a Loki M300LW in it ( that's the 76mm / 8000 case )..
I'd say about 25 lbs at the apogee event..
The perfect drogue is a 16" or a 20" Top Flight Ultra X Form drogue according to how gusty of a day it is..

    Hey Teddy and Sandy
How youse all doing over dere? Good? Fuggetaboutit.

Seriously, though... I need to order some badass hahnesses for my rockets. I hate messing around with making my own out of raw material. Nothing but the best sewn harnesses for my Wildman kits...

You know in most cases I just interchange the harness between kits especially if they are easy to attach in 4 and 5" kits. Not all kits are the same, but thats what I usually do. I do the same with parachutes. Keeps the cost down and just makes sense to me anyways. I always figured why spend money you don't have spend and save it for something else.

When my Performer 200 goes up on the O motor, it will have over 100 feet of OBH Kevlar in it! Wouldn't trust any other harnesses in it!

    Good for you Joe,,
    That's too cool..
    Thank you very much..
Let me know and I'll make you an attachment point for it..
I make them from my 7/16" Tubular Kevlar,,
two legs, two loops each leg..
On the top of the two legs is a 5/16" load bearing stainless swivel..
On the bottom of each leg is a 1/4" long shank stainless welded eye for the top centering ring..

I'd put a pick of it here but when I try I'm asked for a "url"..
    I dun get it,, lol..
