That's pretty cool!

Can you imagine how cool it would be if something like that could actually be built?!

Animusic is some of my favorite stuff. I have a CD full of this from about 2 years ago. This one is new to me and especially nice because it's all strings. Nice find. I'll have to see what else is new out there.

Probably could be built with all of them fancy robots they are building at my school, now how expensive is another matter altogether.

Post some the good ones you've found.

You can Google up almost everything out there from Disk's 1 & 2. Disk 3 isn't available yet. I only had Disk 1 in my collection. Your post was from disk 2 which I haven't seen the others yet. Go HERE to view them.

Can you imagine having to tune that thing?

Yeah...
Can you imagine trying to play it on your own? No robot fingers... Kinda like Michael Batio from Nitro playing his double neck guitar, both necks at once... Except more...

I have both CDs super cool stuff. I prefer Disk One. That first song Future Retro is so rhythmically interesting and entertaining.

I love that it is Music driven picture, and not Picture driven music. (You have the score, you change a note, the instrument will "play" the new note)

Have you not seen David Copperfield's Autonomous Violin?
He did'nt make it himself or anything like that, he just collects that kind of stuff, as I recently learned while watching one of the TV Shows about a guy who restores old stuff.
It makes that thing look childish, and it actually exists in his collection.

Have a link to this? Google shows a different David Copperfield- a British comedian who happens to play violin.

that is pretty funny!!!
that is one crazy machine for sure!

What's really weird is that I thought this thread was new- I ran across it somehow quite easily. After I posted I realized that this thread was from 2012! Accidentally necro'd a thread, and then a double post immediately after  spooky!!
