I agree. With NRC you and your dad, or buddy can just wait endlessly, at the ready, until you have perfect record setting weather. Records aside, you may need to do that just to qualify since you are not ranked in head to head competition on the same field in the same launch window, but being ranked against competitors through the internet flying in different conditions and locations.
 
No need to do a NRC launch since record trials are still a thing. (6.4.3)

Obviously, this is all based on the "honor system" and could easily be "gamed" . . . In some ways, it renders the performance records meaningless, without independent corroboration. But, almost no one actually flies NAR Competition, any more, unfortunately.
