Why do RDF when there are GPS trackers galore nowadays?

Because some of us still have them (as well as GPS telemetry systems.)
Although Walston is no longer in business there are other RDF trackers.

One thing to note that is handy is on the Featherweight tracker you can create a customer name. I use my TRA number so people know who is at the freq easier.

There is no adjustable naming system on fluctus as for now. However there is indeed a unique identifier binded to each flight computer that is transmited along each radio packet.

This can already be used to make sure that you are receiving the right signal and not someone else's fluctus, but I know that it's not the most convenient solution the way it's currently implemented, and I already plan to rethink this thing.

By the way, I'm open to any suggestions regarding this.
