I have become enamored with the Delta II rocket, mostly because it is a cluster rocket. I recently bought this 1/96 scale model on eBay for my "rocket garden" (for some reason I can't get all of the photos to post.)

A continuation of a previous post: For some reason, I can't post my photos. So, let me get to the point. I'm hoping someone has researched the Delta II rocket and can answer this question: is there a reason the boosters are numbered in sequence 639417528 from counter clockwise?

1,2, and 3 are a set of sea-level motors, 4,5, and 6 are the second set of sea level motors, and 7,8, and 9 are the vacuum motors. For a 632x/732x configuration, only motors 1,2, and 3 are used. The 742x is a little strange in that it uses a sea level motor in positions 1, 2, 6, and 9.
