Just finished this up. This is my first cluster rocket. Hope to try it on 2 C6-0 and 1 C6-5 first. Then I’ll go for 7! BTW glitter paint sucks.

Great job! Yeah with glitter paint you have to spray multiple light coats. Don't go for even coverage on the first coat, it will glop up and the glitter will run. Don't ask me how I know. And the can will clog if you let it sit for long.

I like it!
I see a Magician Card on the wall in the back ground.
Have you built it yet? Like it?
There is a pair on Ebay pretty cheap, not that I have money, just sayin....
Not to highjack this thread but my Magician built great and flies even better - except for the fin I glued on wrong! Since I paper my fins I’m not too worried it’ll fail but watch when you build one to keep them properly oriented. I even had witness marks to prevent this from happening but that’s what you get glueing on fins 1AM-ish watching old movies on TCM!

PS great job on the sparkly Hydra - should look awesome launching on a sunny day :)

This is my favorite LPR flier. I usually fly it on 7xB6 motors - our field is a bit too small for 7xC6, and 7 motors is just so much more fun than 3. Sometimes I'll fly it on 4xA8/3xC6, or 3xA8/4xC6 motors. I left 3 motor tubes open, so that if the central motor doesn't light, I'll still get deployment. I've been flying it since 2006, and have flown it on 7 motors over a dozen times, and it's still going strong. Of all those flights, I think I've only had one flight that didn't light all motors (before I switched to using Q2G2s). The large fins often crack on landing, but CA back together easily. The only other repair required was addition of a semroc baffle, as the original kevlar shock cord burned through after 3-4 flights. A great Carl McLawhorn design from 1970!

Hope you get as much enjoyment out of this as I have.
