Working on new member of TARC team

I don't think most people realize how hard it is to get children for a TARC team. I obviously have my two sons, but have always been missing at least one more person. The boys have asked around at school, and I have talked to the teachers. I have a local 4h rocketry club that i lead, but most of the children are too young and have little experience. BUT, this year I have a third year club member who actually really enjoys rockets. I hope he stays with it. It would be a neat thing to have a TARC team.

Do others have the same problem getting members?

Have you held a launch at school? This is how we get kids interested. The Penn Manor district has always had a lot of kids interested from it's 3 schools. Of course it doesn't hurt that we have won TARC twice and were the first American school to win the international championship.
