Any plans to make these parts available to other builders?
I believe Gary (vcp) is working on that now.
You could PM him for details.

The escape tower would be a good candidate for 3d printing also.
Fin can is constructed. I still need to do the sand/primer/fill dance as soon as it gets warmer (who knows how long that will be?).
It slides on nicely to the main section so I can paint them separately.
This means I can more easily mask paint the black and white tank scheme and do the same for the lower unit.
I highly recommend Gary's 3D shroud set for this kit. It is solid and makes for many more construction options.
You can buy them here:

Cheers!!
I've got the tower modeled, but printing anything that would be strong enough might be a problem.
This will be great...have an "improvement" kit available to buy upgraded parts....if they get more 1B kits to sell. I should have picked one up months ago but didn't....now I'm kicking myself for not having a quality 1B to build for the fleet.
I'm thinking about dropping the coin on another V....either the Apogee or Sheri's on an I.......Maybe another 2157 but modded to 29mm....
Oh well....rambling....just wanted to subscribe to this build....looking great man, really quality work on this one!

I've been working on this winter project, and got one of the 3D printed tank shroud for the 1B.
Easy to clean up with sand paper. The fit is great. The price is right. This will help the build of the 1/70 Saturn 1B a lot.
I hope this kit becomes available again.
Here are a few pic.

Thanks. Yes I did the tanks for SA-205, and SA-206 and other parts of the saturn 1B.
I'm trying to do as many body wraps as possible. I have them done, and started to check the size and fit.
I hope to do a build thread when I get them all sized up right and completed. I'm trying to do as little painting as possible but lots of detail.
If this works out I will make my PDF files available to those that would like them.
Thanks again.
Was the 3d shroud ever released?

Okay,
Finally starting to get caught up on some of my winter builds. Had to wait for better painting weather before I could proceed on this one.
Managed to get the tubes primed and painted gloss white.
I then took saluki's magnificent wraps and printed them on waterslide decal paper with my laser printer.
I shot a couple of coats of clear over the decals before cutting them out. I applied them in 3 sections per tube.
I believe I will shoot flat clear over all the parts that have decals before assembling to protect from scratching.
This is truly an exercise in sequential assembly so as to get the wraps and paint to work together.
