Homemade Rocket motor

One more question I want to ask here is that I am short of money and I have to import the Estes rocket motor. I am searhing for the Potassium Nitrate to make solid rocket propellant. and KNO3 is also coslty in Pakistan. 1kg is of 18,000PKR
so what i decided is to use Sodium Nitrate and Postassium hydrooxide and mix them the product will be postassium nitrate. KNO3 is very explosive...What is your stance on it
