I am returning to rocketry after a long absence. The last model I remember flying, well trying to fly was a Centuri Buck Rogers Starfighter, so that tells you how long ago that was.
Obviously things have changed quite a bit and I successfully launched a wildman journey 75 for my level 1 with UROC last month.
I am in process of getting my level 2 as soon as there is a launch I can make.
While I know that there is no real technical benefits my interest is in creating something rockets that are optimized for the area rule and transonic flight. The motivation to learn the math and the composite methods to implement them are my primary goals.
We will see if I succeed or find another muse as time progresses.

I need to attend UROC launches more. Last time was for LDRS39a at the salt flats - great time, but we cannot launch there anymore
