Broke the previous record by 3 deg.

Florida panhandle,
This time of year its either ridiculous heat with the appropriate humidity, or tropical storms/hurricanes. Sometimes in the same week. Looks like a couple of interesting storms coming... I'll be glad to get the rain, haven't had to mow for two weeks.

It should pass before Freedom Launch, but there will be a lingering cooling effect (fingers crossed).

Maybe it will dry the air out a little when it passes.
Maybe long after it passes. The weather right now is not raining, but the air is rather moist.

We usually get 1-2 days of fair weather after a tropical system, then the heat comes right back (with the lovebugs). If you're far enough north you may not get the bounty that lovebugs can provide.

My lips would crack in five minutes. That's some pretty rude heat. Makes me think of a July transfer I had at the Phoenix airport.

Pretty mild here, steady rain and winds increasing. We're about 50 miles NE of the eye now, at the red dot:
Mild but picking up. The current track looks like it will go over Savannah. My wife is west of SAV, so I pray it is much milder. I do not need any more pecan limbs fro my smoker.
Well, we have a 90% chance of rain. I would rate it right now as 100%.

Heavy rain all day, surprisingly little wind, Center was 10 mi east of Statesboro at 5:00. Still have power so far but have generator and 15 gal gas.
