Here is the Aerotech 5120 casing after the cato of the M2030 Mojave Green. Take a look at how bad the case is damaged. Both altimeters after I cut out the bay are working, and the nose cone and retainer are still usable, so gotta build something else around the nose. The silver lines on the casing is the dremel when I cut the motor tube off of the casing.

So sorry to see this. I caught a few frames of the event. It's not centered very well because I was expecting a drag race and john's didn't light. Very powerful stuff.

Gus,
Yep, it was a 38/6XL J520 Skid. Eric had a LITTLE  too much Saturday night and must have fogged his mind a bit. The first "J" motor it's had since 1999 or 2000 when I certed L2 with a J350WL. Mostly been flying it at the Bong on lob shots with the I195BJ, which was fun, but the J520 was AWESOME!!! I also put up my PML Endeavour on a K550W to 5800ish ft. One alt said 5776', and the other said 5813'. I wish I had a little Jolly Logic alt to send along in the IROC, would have been nice to see how high that bugger went. Just have to get one and do it again! Or maybe the J580SS smoky...

Adrian

8. Who won the V2 drag race? I see Tim put C4 in his too get off the pad first...

We all had different motors, 3,4&5 grains. Mine went to 13,7ish I'm the 5 grain.

Nah I was pretty good. Manny's hangover must have been so powerful that it pulled all of the essence out of everyone else's.

I took about a million photos, got sunburned to a crisp, and helped my friends Eric and Jen get both L1 and L2. Eric stuffed a J530 in his Wildman Jr. for his second flight and so I had to spend the afternoon teaching him how to use a tracker :D I still have my new Wildduck Dual Deploy ready to go with a couple of K motors, that'll have to wait for next month.

I'm in the middle of finishing up some stuff to prep for interviews this week, then I'm off on a set of coast-to-coast flights and then a wedding. If I'm not dead by next Monday, I'll download/clean up/post photos then.

What a fantastic weekend, though. Rocket people in the midwest are the best, bar none.

Also, this, for Tim:

So don't even THINK about saying that word again.

Skidmark...always have to test something on a Skidmark...;)

Now that's the attitude Gary! :D

So...If someone yanked out all the puny 75mm motor holder stuffage and, substituted some 98mm motor stuffage inside...That little TURD of a rocket might break, like 20k? Hmmmm...Their selling cheap right now on "Crunches" website...hmmmmmm...Might have to make a phone call on Tuesday morning.

1. Drink LOTS of water Man-well...Start NOW, if you haven't already.
2. Sunburnt? Me too, older age reminds to start wearing a hat on top of your head...When you come back from vacation...sunburnt from the top of your *head* to your feet.

OUCH!:point:

3. Congratulations to both Eric and, Jen!
4. What's up with your signature Dude? No more TDK now its some Swedish thingy:confused:

Dave's going to put Sweden on the MOON before the Chinese! So what if the Chinese invented gunpowder, rockets, quantum physics and, built half the electronics in my newest car....blah...blah...blah...:p

From the land that brought you hot-tubes, Swedish style massage, and, ABBA......"It's....Bjorn and, Bekky P:DRKING on the Moon!"

Now, that's a movie i'd pay too see....

5. What did *Capt. Big-Nuts* (Jez.) fly?

No more questions for awhile...

I flew a rocket on Sunday! Third flight of my 3" on a 3" - 3 grain, whole lotta 3's! Perfect flight and recovery, with a good test of my new tower. Despite what some may think due to the fact that it drifted almost 2 miles, my main did not come out at the top and the raven proves it.

Next month I'm thinking about bringing out the big guns, I might have to put some cash in Wildman's pocket! See you all then!

Manny

Also, multicolored fillets are the way of the future.

Great JOB Sport! I really look forward too seeing you again for the first time in quite awhile...:D (Make sure it's on Sunday, Dude!) We've got some ground to disturb and, some war stories too tell!;)

No....YOU going to school for at LEAST seven more years "are the way of the future".

Because, this thing "We" call work sucks...:p

Seriously *Little Dude* earn a couple of Phd's...I have alot of questions to ask...and, i have your phone number.

Thanks for the pictures Eric, that level 1 flight was mine. You are correct about the wrap on the rocket, it's from Mark at stickershock.

Wow! That is the first picture I have seen of Manny in many years in which he is NOT posing to look like he is being electrocuted. Our little one has indeed grown up.

It's just the vainest possible vanity domain ;)

Woooo....:surprised: Thought for just a moment that maybe you were going too move to Sweden and, design/engineer P:w:nis Pumps...cause NASA ain't paying *jack* right now.

I'm ready for next months launch already lol

I think I'll put Pinky up on a J410 for my L2 attempt.

A great weekend!

Perfect weather, rockets, friends, food, etc... Many thanks to all who made this a reality.

I had 4 flights, all of them with full recovery. Didn't even take my camera out of its bag, instead I tried to enjoy the moment (I also noticed that much-better-photographers-than-me were in attendance with their equipment ).

Again, a big thank you.

PS: Eric, didn't see you on Sunday, I owe you some $$.

We were able to attend the lot of Saturday, but not Sunday. I took about 400 pics, here are the ones worth sharing. :)

Great pics guys! How do you guys get perfect pics? I always get the smoke trail or pre-ignition lol

Another GREAT event in QCRS-land.

I flew a near minimum diameter K. (with the usual outcome)

Usual:confused: My Keister eh! Mark, now go back to your room and, do your homework....

I personally recommend at LEAST (6) grams of high quality 4F B.P. next time! ;)

I love the GPS telemetry! You can almost see the *Scampering Trail* you left all the way from your car to the pad!

Justin? Nice pictures...Good too have you back...Drove past "The Crown Jewel" twice on vacation and, all i could think about was "Capt. Big Nuts" walking fence lines....Dang, i miss that place.:sigh:
