I'm at the point in my life where I'm going to start selling off a lot of my collection. I have one kid in private college and the other two in parochial school. I need to start clearing my basement so I can get some extra money for their education.

No, I'm not leaving the hobby completely. And no, YORS, YORF and YORP are not going away.

I'll be listing the items I put up for sale in this thread as I add them to eBay.

I'm starting off with three items.

Aerotech HV ARCAS Sounding Rocket #89012 - New in Box

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190665679509&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Aerotech IQSY Tomahawk Sounding Rocket #89014 - New in Box

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190665681311&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Estes Sizzler Deluxe Flying Model Rocket Starter Set #1432 - New in Box

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190665685680&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Bid often, bid big!

These are closing in just over 24 hours!

I'll be posting six more kits for sale between tonight and tomorrow, including an original Seattle Rocket Works MIRV Gryphon (forgot I even had it!) in it's original mailing box from Seattle, circa 1997. A AAA American Dream in mint condition. This was AAA's first kit. A couple old Estes kits and a couple of open/builder PML kits.

I don't know whether to rejoice of cry.

I want to cry because I am unemployed and there is nothing I can do to acquire your treasure trove.

I want to rejoice because explaining it to SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED will not be an issue.

Scott- None of my business and certainly something I would never think i would tell a fellow rocketeer, but FWIW, I think your prices are a little low. I know you've got a ton of experience in this endeavour, but you might try posting here first at a good price for you and with guys (okay, and girls...) who know what they are looking at. Then if it doesn't go, try e-bay. For all your services these past years, you should reap some better rewards and get those kids thru school. Again, apologies if you think I'm just a nosy busy body with nothing better to do than troll the threads looking to make a smart ass comment. And thank you again for all the hard work and dedication you've shown our sport thru out the years. You've always provided a valuable resource and service. Good on you, mate! :handshake:

I honestly have not been following rocketry sales for a number of years now, so I have no clue of what they're worth. I just figure I'd start everything out at $9.99 and let the market set the final price.

I just wish it was like the good old days where people used the free rocket auction site I started at YORS, which Darrell Mobley then started a competing auction site at RocketryOnline. People would sell/buy a lot of rocketry goodies through our two auctions back in the day, with no fees. It sucks having to pay eBay/PayPal all those fees, but no one uses the Ye Olde Rocket Shoppe Auction or the one at RocketryOnline that Kevin now owns as they did in the past. If you want to get market value for an item you're now forced to sell on eBay, unless you know the market value of an item.

These items end in about 12hrs tonight. Get your bids in before they're gone. A couple of cool, rare kits in there.

Well, I tried to get the MIRV Gryphon, but someone outbid me. Perhaps I'll hunt them down and ban them! :bangpan:

Looks like a cool rocket!

It weren't me! I have seen one fly and it IS a very cool rocket!:cool2:

Bought an io and bullpuppy thanks! It's nice to win something from you. For years I was loosing bids to ltvscout lol
Hehe. Enjoy the kits! You can show up your friends that you're old school building an IO an BullPuppy with Phenolic tubes vs the QT they use now.

The kits went to the PO yesterday.

It is way cool. Unfortunately for me, the winning bidder got it for a steal. Those normally sold in the $40-$50 range back when I still followed rocket auctions.

Dale Windsor owns the rights now, but I've yet to see him reproduce it. I did scan everything though so just in case he decides not to make them again and I get his permission I can put the info up on YORP.

Good to know -- I just spent several days with Dale. I'll have to ping him!

Sorry it took so long. I dropped those kits off at the PO here in Milwaukee on the 25th. You live in KY which is straight down from us. From here, the goofs at the PO sent the package to PA, then to MA, then to NJ, then finally all the way back to KY. No wonder they're going bankrupt! Those are a bunch of inept idiots working at the PO. Sheesh!

Yeah I found that odd. What's funny to me is they were in to PA BEFORE the were in WI. Lol it's was still a great buy! THANKS!!
