Here is a video series I made detailing the build of my Wildman Drago 4XL. It was mostly meant to be a high-level overview of high-power rocket construction for those new to HPR. Oh, for the record, it is so much easier to just shut up and build and post about it later versus filming the process.

Part 2: Motor Mount. The only thing I would do differently here next time is to tie the "Hail Mary" knot in the kevlar harness behind the flat area where it is epoxied to prevent any possible weakening from the knot.

Great job on the video. Just am wondering why you don't wrap your chute in Nomex? You can fold it up much smaller when wrapped in the Nomex. I also warp my shock cords in a Nomex blanket.

No real need on the main. I just make sure the nomex is between the main and the charge wells.

Curious what the descent rate was on a 12lb rocket with the Recon 50"?

By the way I should how I designed and built the Recon's for years. The testing showed 22.4 fps @ 12 lbs.

Tim at Wildman should have the descent charts. I still have decent rate for the 20"- 80" Recons. Check with WM
