Knowing what I know now, I agree this was a scam. Other than the fact that I was not familiar this company (and most of the other rocket shops), there were no other "Red Flags" as noted by the BBB; the prices were in line with those of other vendors offering similar oop items. So the package is confirmed to be mailed to your address? The reason I mentioned Amazon was that they could've nabbed a number for an Amazon order, which typically reads like a normal USPS tracking number, or at least the route my packages take up here does. If they're tracing the tracking directly to your house that's a bit sketchy, but I've gone through the same stuff with UPS and FedEx as well, so I'm not sure that's indicative of USPS having anything to do with this.
I'd say with 99% certainty that site is a scam, though. It's pretty spot on to the cookie cutter ripoff shop.
But in that BBB scam alert they were talking about the scammer providing a tracking number to a different address. This is different: my local Postmaster INSISTED that she had talked to the person who supposedly delivered the package on that day. Clearly this did not happen, but she still refuses to admit it! Note, I had no other USPS packages delivered or scheduled for delivery within a week of the date the tracking claimed, and I hadn't placed an order from Amazon in over a month at the time (or since). I just got a very quick shipment from an even shadier-looking ebay vendor yesterday, so it's tough deciding who's legit these days.
