EVENT Turkey & GRITS, Nov 27-28, 2021, Nashville, GA (near Tifton)

Registration is now open for Turkey & GRITS, Georgia's premier high power launch, on the weekend after Thanksgiving. November 27 and 28.

All rockets on commercial motors welcome (launch is under NAR rules). Max altitude is 14000' AGL.

Lodging available in Tifton, GA, right off I-75.

Turkey & GRITS was a great event! I flew 4 times and certified Level 1 on Saturday. I was one of the Zephyr Gang members. I planned on flying a fifth time on either an I161 or I284, but the winds aloft on Sunday were a bit strong. My Zephyr drifted almost 1/2 a mile flying on an H148. I didn't want it drifting into the trees.

Was that on Saturday?

I put my Arreaux up on a G78G Sunday, but only because I had an Eggfinder Mini in there.

That was Sunday morning. I flew it on an H148 Red Line. The wind really took it when the chute deployed. After that flight, I decided to declare victory and call it a day.
