Today we will celebrate our 31st Anniversary while I do a 26 lb. turkey. 31 years of living with the same person is no small feat. We have proven to be committed in this relationship regardless of ceremony. She and I are ready for more.

Congratulations. Yes, it takes quite a lot of work and love to share life with another person. Well done. Here's to 31 more.

Congrats! We have 23. I am always amazed at those who make it past 30. Relationship are definitely hard work. Hopefully, we make it.

Congrats, you are no longer a rookie! We passed 38 last February.

May you have many, many more!

In either the work place or through a friendship or a committed relationship, the one thing that is paramount is communication. How many times have we felt out of the loop or were the last ones to 'know'? It happens frequently. Now I have to communicate with the turkey.

Congratulations. My wife and I are 5 months away from our 33rd. It doesn't feel like 33 years, except when I look in the mirror and I have less hair!

Looking back on when we got married I can say we were too young (I had just turned 21, her 20), too poor, and too dumb to realize it was probably a bad idea. We had only known each other eight months. The first year was rough and at times it might have been iffy (though we would have starved without each other), and after that we settled into a routine of "Oh no, you are not gonna drive me away".

This October will be 40 for the wife and I. Both of us were 19 when we got married.

Congrats, 31 years is nothing trivial.

14 years here, but we've been together for 22. Practically newlyweds compared to you guys.

There's been friction here and there, and we used to sometimes get into pretty heated arguments, but overall we fit together pretty well. I think both of us saw this going for life from the beginning.

43 years in three weeks and I started late (26). 20 years in the Navy got us started in marriage management. The next 23 are/were a piece of cake. Many more to come good Lord willing.

Congratulations. We just passed 27 in March of this year. We're still trying to organize the cruise we promised ourselves for our 25th but life continues to get in the way. Maybe in August...

As an aside I got my first girl when I was an Ensign (marriage). And that started the girl-a-stripe syndrome! My first daughter arrived, I was a JG, second I was a Lt, third I was a LCDR, and my fourth I was a CDR. I refused to make CAPT!

Funny! Reminds me of a joke, from back in the day when dads did not go into the delivery room.

Three dads-to-be were sitting in the delivery waiting room, when a doctor walked out. He said, "Mr. Jones, you have twins!"

Mr. Jones said that was funny because he works for the Minnesota Twins baseball organization.

Soon, another doctor came out and said, "Mr. Smith, you have triplets!"

Mr. Smith said that was funny, because he works for 3M Corporation.

Suddenly, the third dad jumped up and ran screaming from the room. The doctor asked, "What's the matter with him?"

Mr. Smith said, "Oh, he told us he works for 7-Eleven."

Thanks for sharing everyone. I was 28 when we chose to commit. In '90 I quit smoking, drinking and drugs when I became a parent for the first time. That was after 15 years of doing the stuff. Haven't touched the stuff since. The mind is capable of doing wonders when you let it. It's also your worst enemy when allowed as well. Interesting stories from you guys. Thanks again.

Wayco and I will have 36 years in June - 7 years of "try before you buy" and the rest married but we count it all the same since we were a committed couple prior to the paperwork. I didn't need the paperwork but Wayne wanted it so I wrote into the vows that "until death do we part, homicide is acceptable". Divorce is not an option, to get out of this marriage somebody is going to have to die.....Waynes parents were married 60+ years until his Dad passed away about a decade ago and my parents were married 63 years until a couple of weeks ago when my mother died. I just hope Wayne and I get 60+ years too.
