Great catch!

Visit the Computer Museum in Mountain View, CA, to admire some SAGE consoles, and (TRF content:) a model of a Hawk missile, built by Grant Saviers, L3.

Apparently my dad worked on SAGE radars in the USAF, but couldn't tell me because it was classified. Somehow though my mom knew and recognized the SAGE consoles immediately when we visited the museum.

I remember there was one, I believe the last one, in a big ugly windowless building at Luke AFB. It was supposed to be a secret but everyone knew it was in there.
I heard when decommissioned it was sent to a museum, (Air Force, Smithsonian?) because it was complete and had not been scavenged for parts.
